Fordham:  Head coach Dereck Whittenburg has been let go, 5 games into the season.  Assistant Jared Grasso has been named Interim coach for the remainder of this season.

Penn:  Sources tell BasketballScoop that head coach Glenn Miller has been let go following an 0-7 start.  We are hearing that assistant Jerome Allen will take over as interim head coach.

Augusta State:  AD Clint Bryant has taken over as interim coach for the remainder of the season after announcing that head coach Tes Sobomehin will be “reassigned within the university”.

University of the District of Columbia:  Laquanda Brandon is a new assistant at UDC where she played last season.

Hampton:  James Simmons has been added to the staff at Hampton after spending a decade at Bowie State.

Fordham:  Interim head coach Jared Grasso has hired his former coach Joe DeSantis as an assistant.

Michigan:  Associate head coach Jerry Dunn today announced that he is taking an indefinite leave of absence.  “Personal family matters” was cited as the reason.  Head coach John Beilein issued a statement that he “fully supports Jerry” and his family in this matter.  Jeff Meyer will assume Dunn’s position during this time.  Meyer, who had held the title of Administrative Specialist, is a former assistant at Indiana, Missouri, Butler and several other schools over the last 30 years.

Northern Arizona:  We hear that assistant Billy Hix has resigned.  The reason remains unclear.  Hix played at NAU and has been on the staff for five seasons.  No word from our sources about how soon the position will be filled.
