Wagner College:  Head coach Mike Deane has been “relieved of his duties.”  The AD said a national search would begin immediately.

Indiana Tech:  We hear that head coach Brad Winton (who was just hired in August) is no longer with the program.

Oregon State:  Craig Robinson’s contract has been extended through the 2015-2016 season.

Columbus State:  Head coach Doug Branson has resigned.

Eastern Washington:  Head coach Kirk Earlywine’s contract has been extended through next season the school announced today.

Missouri:  Head coach Cindy Stein has announced that this will be her last season at Missouri.  She will coach the team through the end of the season.  Stein was 184-175 in her 12 seasons at Missouri.

Univ. of Missouri - St. Louis:  UMSL head coach Chris Pilz will not return.  This was Pilz’s seventh season as head coach and the Tritons went 12-16 this year.

University of New Haven:  Head coach Al Seibert and assistant Chuck Bridge have both stepped down following this year’s 5-22 campaign.  In five years at the helm, Seibert’s overall record was 43-94.

Rhodes College:  Herb Hilgeman has announced his retirement.  After 34 seasons and 473 wins, he deserves it.  The AD said a national search will be conducted.

LaSalle:  Head coach Tom Lochner won’t return next season.  In six seasons, Lochner’s teams were a combined 72-102.

Jacksonville State:  Head coach Becky Geyer has announced her resignation.  The AD announced that a national search would begin immediately and would be lead by Tracy Broom.

Holy Family University:  After seven seasons at the helm of Holy Family in Philadelphia, Alfred Johnson has announced his resignation and the school has begun a search for his successor.

Marymount University:  D-III Marymount’s head coach (and AD) Bill Finney will retire in August.  Finney’s teams averaged over 20 wins per season during his 27 year career at Marymount.

Oregon:  A lot of rumors out there (including an article by USA Today) that head coach Ernie Kent has been told he’s done at the end of the season.

Central Arkansas:  Head coach Rand Chappell and his staff have been “relieved of their duties” according to the AD.  Over seven seasons, Chappell’s teams were 104-104.  UCA plans to complete it’s transition to Division 1 this year and is slated to be eligible for post season tournament play next season.

East Carolina:  Head coach Mack McCarthy announced his intent to move into a fundraising role within the athletics department upon the conclusion of the C-USA tournament.

UMASS:  Head coach Marnie Dacko will not be retained.  In making the announcement, the AD stated that a national search will begin immediately.

Albany:  Head coach Trina Patterson has resigned.  Patterson was at the helm for eight seasons.

Louisiana Lafayette:  Multiple sources tell us that head coach Robert Lee will not be retained.    The university has scheduled an announcement for 10AM tomorrow.

Indiana:  Tom Crean has let one of his assistants go.  Roshown McLeod is no longer part of the staff.  Strange timing.

Hawaii:  Head coach Bob Nash was notified today that he will not be retained.  In three years at the helm, Nash never had a winning season.

L.A. Clippers:  Mike Dunleavy has been let go as GM now as well (he was removed as head coach not too long ago).

USC:  Sources tell BasketballScoop that assistants Gib Arnold and Phil Johnson (both holdovers from Tim Floyd’s staff) have been told that they will not be retained.

Gardner Webb:  Head coach Rick Scruggs will not return.

Pensacola Junior College:  PJC head coach Paul Swanson is out after 13 seasons as head coach.

Boise St.:  Head coach Greg Graham has been let go.  Assistants Andy McClouskey and James Bailey are also being let go.  Assistant Tim Cleary is in charge of the program until a new head coach is hired.

Auburn:  Jeff Lebo has been let go.  Auburn has a new arena to fill, expect them to go after a big name.

Central Arkansas:  We hear that Corliss Williamson will soon be named the new head coach at Central Arkansas.  Williamson has been the head coach at Arkansas Baptist (JUCO in Little Rock).

UC Irvine: Head coach Pat Douglass will not be renewed.  The AD said a national search will begin immediately.

Iowa:  Todd Lickliter is out as head coach.  The AD has scheduled a press conference for this afternoon to discuss.

Central Florida: We hear head coach Kirk Speraw will not be retained.

Charlotte:  The 49ers have let head coach Bobby Lutz go.  Lutz was 218-158 in 12 seasons at the helm; however his team lost 7 of 8 down the stretch this year and finished the season with a first round loss in the A-10 tournament and missed out on a post-season invite that seemed like a lock early in the year when the team had an 18-5 overall record.  We hear the entire staff has been let go as well.

Marian University:  Bill Peters has been hired as the new head coach at Marian.  Peters is a Marian alum and has served as the head coach at Ripon High School for the last seven years.

Oregon:  Ernie Kent was officially let go today.

Delaware: Assistant Stephen Stewart resigned today.

Arkansas:  Assistant Isaac Brown will move into an administrative role and head coach John Pelphrey will hire a new assistant for the upcoming season.  Pelphrey and assistants Rob Evans and Tom Ostrom will remain.

Hawaii:  Gib Arnold has been named head coach.  Arnold, who played high school ball in Hawaii, had been an assistant at USC for the last five seasons and was the head coach at Southern Idaho prior to that.

USC:  Sources tell BasketballScoop that associate head coach Erv Monier is no longer with the team.

Stillman College: Cassandra Moorer has been named the new head coach.  Moorer who previously served as an assistant at Alabama from 1997-2005 most recently was the head coach at American Christian Academy.

Oregon St.:  Assistant Doug Stewart has been promoted to Associate head coach.

St. John’s:  SI is reporting that St. John’s initially targeted Billy Donovan with a package worth over $3 million annually; however Donovan declined.

Northwood University:  Bob Taylor is leaving the program after guiding it for the past 13 seasons.

Black Hills:  Bradd Schafer, an assistant for the last four seasons, has been promoted to head coach.

Seton Hall:  We are hearing a bunch of names in connection with this one.  We hear that Robert Morris head coach Mike Rice will be one of the first to interview.

Culver Stockton:  Seth Minter has been hired as the new head coach.  Minter, a Culver Stockton grad, spent the last few seasons as the head coach at Canton High School.

Austin College:  After 11 seasons as head coach, Deb Hunter is stepping down for health reasons.

Stephen F. Austin:  Head coach Lee Ann Riley has resigned.

Southwestern University (TX):  Pam Ruder, head coach, has stepped down.

Georgia State:  Lea Henry, head coach for the last 16 seasons, announced her resignation last night.

Auburn:  We hear that Auburn has found their guy in UTEP coach Tony Barbee.  Barbee has been the head man at UTEP for the last four seasons producing excellent results.

Fordham:  Rampant speculation out there that the job has been offered to Hofstra’s Tom Pecora.

Howard:  We are hearing that head coach Gil Jackson is no longer there.  The University hasn’t announced anything; but we hear he’s done.

West Alabama:  Craig Roden, head coach at West Georgia, has accepeted the head coaching position at West Alabama, his alma mater.  Roden had been in charge at West Georgia for the last 13 seasons.

Houston:  Head coach Joe Curl has resigned.  In making the announcement Curl noted continuing health problems.  Curl sat out the entire 07-08 season with heart problems.  We wish him the best.

La Salle:  Jeff Williams is the new head coach at La Salle.  Williams, the associate head coach at Pitt, has been at Pitt for the last seven seasons.

Wisconsin-Platteville:  Tina Kuhle, head coach, will not return.

Northern Iowa:  We hear head coach Ben Jacobsen has signed a new 10 year deal with a base of $450,000 and annual $25k increases.  His current deal had him making just under $300,000 per.

Houston:  We hear Billy Gillispie is making a hard push for the job; but the President of the University is said to have the final call on this.  We’ll see how this one plays out.

St. John’s:  It’s fairly well reported that Georgia Tech’s Paul Hewitt politely rebuffed a healthy offer to head back to New York.

Northern State:  Paul Sather, the head coach at Black Hills State, has been hired as the new head coach at Northern State.  Sather coached at Northern State for legendary coach Don Meyer from 98-2004 and has been at Black Hills since.

Colorado:  The Denver Post is quoting sources within the athletic department as saying that the the University is negotiating to terminate the contract of head coach Kathy McConnell-Miller.  McConnell-Miller has served as head coach for the last five seasons; but has only had one winning season.  The Post reached the AD who said it would be “premature” to say she has been dismissed; but offered no further comment.

San Fransisco:  Tonya Haave will not return as head coach of the Dons.  It appears as if her staff is out as well.

Seton Hall:  We are hearing Iona’s head coach Kevin Willard is set to become the new head coach at Seton Hall.

Iowa:  Siena’s Fran McCaffery has been named the new head coach at Iowa.  McCaffery was 112-51 in five seasons at Siena.

Davidson:  BasketballScoop has learned that head coach Annette Watts has resigned.

Clemson:  We hear that Clemson will announce later today the hiring of Itoro Umoh Coleman as their new head coach.  A Clemson grad and former All-ACC point guard, Coleman has been an assistant at Penn State for the last three seasons.

Seton Hall:  We hear that Seton Hall has landed Anne Donovan as their new head coach.

College of Notre Dame of Maryland:  Kristi Ellenberger has been named the new head coach.

Gonzaga:  UCLA assistant Donny Daniels is heading up to Gonzaga to join Mark Few’s staff.

Holy Cross:  First year head coach Sean Kearney has been let go.  The Crusaders disappointed this season and the AD confirmed to ESPN tonight that he plans to look for a new coach.

St. John’s:  Steve Lavin has been announced as the new head coach.

Penn:  Penn has taken the Interim tag off of head coach Jerome Allen.  Allen was named interim head coach in December.

Toledo:  Tod Kowalczyk will be named the new head coach later this afternoon.  Kowalczyk comes from Wisconsin-Green Bay where he has been the head coach for the last eight seasons.

UTEP:  Tim Floyd will be introduced as the new head coach at UTEP later this evening.

Boston College:  ESPN is reporting this morning that head coach Al Skinner is out.  A news conference is scheduled for 3PM EST today.

Louisiana Lafayette:  Sam Houston head coach Bob Marlin did accept the head job with the Ragin Cajuns.

Pitt:  Jamie Dixon is getting another extension and raise.  Dixon was already under contract through 2016.  We don’t have the details; but we’ll follow up with them once they are public.

UTEP:  Sources tell BasketballScoop that Phil Johnson will join his longtime friend Tim Floyd at UTEP.

Tulane:  Head coach Dave Dickerson is no longer with the program after five seasons at the helm.

Hofstra:  Former Providence coach Tim Welsh is set to become the new head coach at Hofstra.  Welsh has been working for ESPN.
