Houston: We are hearing that Houston has selected former Texas Tech head coach James Dickey as their new coach.
Boise State: Dave Wojcik, assistant at Wake Forest, is leaving Wake after one season to become Associate head coach at Boise State.
Central Arkansas: Corliss Williamson has hired two assistants. Jonathan Jackson comes over from Arkansas Baptist while Anthony Walker moves up from Southern Arkansas.

Sam Houston: Assistant Jason Hooten has been named the new head coach. Hooten had been on staff for the past six seasons.

Utah: Head coach Elaine Elliott will take a one year leave of absence. In making the announcement she shared that she had told her AD earlier in the season that she planned to retire and the AD suggested this instead. Her top assistant Anthony Levrets will coach the team in her place.

George Mason: Head coach Jim Larranga has signed an extension through 2015-2016.
Middle Tennessee: Head coach Kermit Davis has been extended through 2013-2014.
St. John’s: Sources tell BasketballScoop that Steve Lavin has hired Drexel assistant Tony Chiles.
Hofstra: Tim Welsh has added Newberry’s Steve DeMeo to his bench. We hear that DeMeo might bring a coach with him as well (not sure what role he would fill). We also hear that Mo Cassara will wind up on the staff as well.

Trinity Valley CC: Michael Landers and his wife Kenya Larkin-Landers have been named co-head coaches at Trinity Valley. Landers was head coach and AD at Baton Rouge CC while Larkin-Landers was an assistant at LSU.

Tulane: We hear that Citadel head coach Ed Conroy has accepted the head coaching position at Tulane. We also heard that the job had been offered first to Robert Morris head coach Mike Rice but he turned it down.
DePaul: Didn’t see this coming…DePaul has hired Clemson head coach Oliver Purnell and signed him to a seven year deal paying him approximately $1.6 million per year according to published reports.
Boston College: We hear BC has selected Cornell’s Steve Donahue as their next head coach.

Missouri-St. Louis: Steve Tappmeyer has been named the new head coach. Tappmeyer coached for 21 seasons at Northwest Missouri State.
East Central: Joe Redmond is the new head coach at East Central. Redmond was an assistant at UNC Wilmington for the last few seasons.
USC: Bob Cantu has been promoted to Associate head coach and Kevin O’Neill has hired former Fullerton head coach Dieter Horton as an assistant.
Rogers State: Lloyd Williams has resigned as head coach despite two very successful seasons.
Rutgers: ESPN’s Andy Katz is reporting that Rutgers is negotiating with Fred Hill to terminate his contract.
Boise St.: Wyoming assistant Shaun Vandiver has been named to the staff at Boise State.
Oklahoma: We hear assistant Oronde Taliaferro has resigned.

Clemson: We had been hearing Miss. State head coach’s Rick Stansbury’s name as high on Clemson’s wish list; but Fox Sports Jeff Goodman says that fizzled out and he is staying in Starkvegas.
Wake Forest: We hear that Colorado head coach Jeff Bzdelik told his team today that he has not yet been offered the job; but is planning to speak with Wake.
Chowan: Dan DeRose has been hired as head coach at Chowan. DeRose leaves Seton Hill for the job.
Michigan: Neither Jerry Dunn nor John Mahoney will return. Jeff Meyer who was promoted mid season will remain an assistant and coach Beilein will fill the one remaining slot.
Marshall: Tom Herrion has been named the head coach at Marshall. Herrion has been associate head coach at Pitt for the past few seasons.
Ole Miss: BasketballScoop has learned that Andy Kennedy’s contract has been extended two seasons through the 2013-2014 season.
Houston: James Dickey has hired both Sam Houston assistant Ulric Maligi and Daniyal Robinson who worked at Iowa State the past two seasons as assistants.
Columbia: Head coach Joe Jones has resigned to become Associate head coach at Boston College.
Columbus State: Robert Moore has been named the head coach. Moore was an assistant at CSU in the late 90s and has been a high school head coach for the past few years.
UC Irvine: Golden State Warrior assistant Russell Turner has been named head coach at Irvine. Turner has been with Golden State for about six seasons and was an assistant at Stanford and Wake prior to that.

Wright State: We have heard that Wright State plans to announce the promotion of associate head coach Billy Donlon to head coach tomorrow.
Kentucky State: Clarence Moore, interim head coach, has been named the permanent head coach.
Clemson: The new Clemson coach is Brad Brownell from Wright State (and former UNC Wilmington head coach as well). In four seasons guiding Wright State, Brownell’s teams posted a combined 84-45 record.

Houston: James Dickey has added Alvin Brooks as an assistant. Brooks, who most recently served as DBO at Kentucky 07-09, is the former head coach at Houston in the 90s.
Kent State: Head coach Geno Ford has signed a two year extension through the 14-15 season.
Simpson College: Head coach Bruce Wilson has announced his resignation after 25 years on the bench. Assistant Charles Zander has been named the new head coach.
Siena: Longtime assistant Mitch Buonaguro has been promoted to head coach.

Norfolk State: Debra Clark has been named permanent head coach. Clark had been named interim last May.
Claflin University: Francis Marion assistant Tiffany Tucker has been named head coach at Claflin.
Furman: Jackie Smith-Carson, 2009 BasketballScoop Rising Star award winner, will be named the new head coach at her alma mater Furman later today. We hear Louis Rowe will be joining her staff.

St. Michael’s: Michael Harding, associate head coach at Stonehill, has been named the head coach at St. Michael’s.

East Carolina: Jeff Lebo’s staff is largely the same group he had at Auburn last season. Tim Craft, Ken Potosnak and Kyle Robinson all came with him and he kept Michael Perry from last year’s ECU staff. Robinson will serve as the Director of Basketball Operations.
Charlotte: We hear Desmond Oliver will be an assistant at Charlotte this year. Oliver had been on the staff at Canisius. We also hear that Virginia Tech assistant Ryan Odom will be part of the staff.
South Carolina: We hear that DBO L.J. Hepp has left the program.
Auburn: Tony Barbee’s staff from UTEP has come over intact, including Randall Dickey, Milt Wagner and Tony Madlock as assistants and Mike Babul as DBO.

Maryville: Kevin Carroll was named head coach at Maryville. Carroll was an assistant with Air Force.
San Francisco: Rex Walters’ contract has been extended through 2015.
Grambling: We hear that Bobby Washington will have the interim tag removed and be named the head coach soon.
Hartford: John Gallagher has been named the head coach. Gallagher has been on staff at Penn for the last two seasons.
Wisconsin Green Bay: Brian Barone has been hired as an assistant. Barone comes from Indiana and had worked for Tom Crean at Marquette as well.
DePaul: We hear that Ron Bradley is heading to Chicago with coach Purnell. We also hear former DBO Josh Posterino will make the move as well.

Wooster: Assistant Ashley Reid has been promoted to head coach.
Sacramento State: Interim head coach Jamie Craighead has agreed to a three year deal removing the “interim” tag and making her the youngest D1 head coach (29) that we are aware of.
Stephen F. Austin: Brandon Schneider has been named the head coach at SFA. Schneider was the head coach at D-II National Champ Emporia State.
Lafayette College: Dianne Nolan is the new head coach at Lafayette. Nolan has been associate head coach at Yale for the past few seasons.
Morehead State: Mike Bradbury has resigned as head coach. A “national search” will begin immediately the AD says.
Paine College: Terrance Palmer has resigned as head coach and Willie Adams has been named the new head coach.

Louisiana Monroe: LSU assistant (and former LA Tech head coach) Keith Richard has been named the new head coach at ULM.
Expansion: Unfortunately we have to report that the BasketballScoop bid for the digital broadcast rights for the expanded NCAA Tournament was not accepted. Apparently CBS Sports / TBS bid slightly higher than we did. We have every confidence that they will do a great job.
Dartmouth: Paul Cormier is returning to be the head coach at Dartmouth, again. Cormier previously served as the Big Green’s head from ‘84-’91. Most recently, Cormier has served as a scout for the Golden State Warriors.

Siena: Sources tell BasketballScoop that Rutgers assistant Craig Carter has been hired as an assistant at Siena.
Citadell: We hear that Maryland assistant Chuck Driesell is expected to be named head coach at the Citadel in the next day or two. Chuck, Lefty’s son, has been on Gary Williams’ staff at Maryland for the last four seasons.
Newberry: Dave Davis has been named the new head coach. Davis had been at Pfeiffer for the last 14 seasons.
Michigan: Bacari Alexander has been named an assistant at Michigan. Alexander spent the last two seasons at Western Michigan.
Creighton: Reports out of Omaha are that Iowa State coach Greg McDermott has been offered and has accepted the job at Creighton. Not confirmed; but there are reports.
Hampton: We hear that Kevin Nickelberry has accepted the head job at Howard.
