Houston: We are hearing that Houston has selected former Texas Tech head coach James Dickey as their new coach.
Boise State: Dave Wojcik, assistant at Wake Forest, is leaving Wake after one season to become Associate head coach at Boise State.
Central Arkansas: Corliss Williamson has hired two assistants. Jonathan Jackson comes over from Arkansas Baptist while Anthony Walker moves up from Southern Arkansas.
Most of our guys have been on the go in Indy. Will have a healthy update tonight. A bunch of guys have worked out extensions and a couple of assistants are on the move already. Check back later.
Sam Houston: Assistant Jason Hooten has been named the new head coach. Hooten had been on staff for the past six seasons.
Utah: Head coach Elaine Elliott will take a one year leave of absence. In making the announcement she shared that she had told her AD earlier in the season that she planned to retire and the AD suggested this instead. Her top assistant Anthony Levrets will coach the team in her place.

George Mason: Head coach Jim Larranga has signed an extension through 2015-2016.
Middle Tennessee: Head coach Kermit Davis has been extended through 2013-2014.
St. John’s: Sources tell BasketballScoop that Steve Lavin has hired Drexel assistant Tony Chiles.
Hofstra: Tim Welsh has added Newberry’s Steve DeMeo to his bench. We hear that DeMeo might bring a coach with him as well (not sure what role he would fill). We also hear that Mo Cassara will wind up on the staff as well.

Wagner: Danny Hurley has been named the new head coach. We hear that brother Bobby might be joining him as well.
Richmond: Head coach Chris Mooney has signed an extension through the 2016-2017 season.
Upper Iowa: Carol Russell has been hired as the new head coach. Russell was the head coach at Nebraska-Kearney for the last 8 seasons.
Trinity Valley CC: Michael Landers and his wife Kenya Larkin-Landers have been named co-head coaches at Trinity Valley. Landers was head coach and AD at Baton Rouge CC while Larkin-Landers was an assistant at LSU.

Tulane: We hear that Citadel head coach Ed Conroy has accepted the head coaching position at Tulane. We also heard that the job had been offered first to Robert Morris head coach Mike Rice but he turned it down.
DePaul: Didn’t see this coming…DePaul has hired Clemson head coach Oliver Purnell and signed him to a seven year deal paying him approximately $1.6 million per year according to published reports.
Boston College: We hear BC has selected Cornell’s Steve Donahue as their next head coach.
Lindenwood: Saint Louis U. assistant Tony Francis has been named the new head coach at Lindenwood.
Wake Forest: Dino Gaudio has been relieved of his responsibilities. In making the announcement, the AD noted the team’s poor performance in post season play in Gaudio’s 3 seasons at the helm.
Butler: Brad Stevens has been rewarded with a new 12 year contract. Terms are expected to be discussed at a press conference tomorrow.
Missouri-St. Louis: Steve Tappmeyer has been named the new head coach. Tappmeyer coached for 21 seasons at Northwest Missouri State.
East Central: Joe Redmond is the new head coach at East Central. Redmond was an assistant at UNC Wilmington for the last few seasons.
USC: Bob Cantu has been promoted to Associate head coach and Kevin O’Neill has hired former Fullerton head coach Dieter Horton as an assistant.
Rogers State: Lloyd Williams has resigned as head coach despite two very successful seasons.
Rutgers: ESPN’s Andy Katz is reporting that Rutgers is negotiating with Fred Hill to terminate his contract.
Boise St.: Wyoming assistant Shaun Vandiver has been named to the staff at Boise State.
Oklahoma: We hear assistant Oronde Taliaferro has resigned.
Missouri: Illinois State head coach Robin Pingeton and her staff are moving to Columbia as Pingeton has been named the new head coach.
Air Force: Head coach Ardie McInelly will not return.
UMASS: Sharon Dawley, Vermont head coach, has accepted the head coaching position at UMASS.
Charlotte: Ohio State assistant Alan Major has been accepted the job. Major has been at Ohio State for the last six seasons.
Clemson: We had been hearing Miss. State head coach’s Rick Stansbury’s name as high on Clemson’s wish list; but Fox Sports Jeff Goodman says that fizzled out and he is staying in Starkvegas.
Wake Forest: We hear that Colorado head coach Jeff Bzdelik told his team today that he has not yet been offered the job; but is planning to speak with Wake.
Chowan: Dan DeRose has been hired as head coach at Chowan. DeRose leaves Seton Hill for the job.
Michigan: Neither Jerry Dunn nor John Mahoney will return. Jeff Meyer who was promoted mid season will remain an assistant and coach Beilein will fill the one remaining slot.
Marshall: Tom Herrion has been named the head coach at Marshall. Herrion has been associate head coach at Pitt for the past few seasons.
Ole Miss: BasketballScoop has learned that Andy Kennedy’s contract has been extended two seasons through the 2013-2014 season.
Houston: James Dickey has hired both Sam Houston assistant Ulric Maligi and Daniyal Robinson who worked at Iowa State the past two seasons as assistants.
Columbia: Head coach Joe Jones has resigned to become Associate head coach at Boston College.
Columbus State: Robert Moore has been named the head coach. Moore was an assistant at CSU in the late 90s and has been a high school head coach for the past few years.
UC Irvine: Golden State Warrior assistant Russell Turner has been named head coach at Irvine. Turner has been with Golden State for about six seasons and was an assistant at Stanford and Wake prior to that.
Colorado: Linda Lappe has been named head coach at Colorado. Lappe, a former player at Colorado, has been the head coach at Metropolitan State College in Denver for the last three seasons.
Nebraska-Kearney: The Lopers have hired Southern Illinois Edwardsville assistant Kevin Chaney as their new head coach.
Wright State: We have heard that Wright State plans to announce the promotion of associate head coach Billy Donlon to head coach tomorrow.
Kentucky State: Clarence Moore, interim head coach, has been named the permanent head coach.
Clemson: The new Clemson coach is Brad Brownell from Wright State (and former UNC Wilmington head coach as well). In four seasons guiding Wright State, Brownell’s teams posted a combined 84-45 record.

Charleston: Sources tell BasketballScoop that Arkansas Tech head coach Mark Downey will be named the head coach at the University of Charleston.
Houston: James Dickey has added Alvin Brooks as an assistant. Brooks, who most recently served as DBO at Kentucky 07-09, is the former head coach at Houston in the 90s.
Kent State: Head coach Geno Ford has signed a two year extension through the 14-15 season.
Simpson College: Head coach Bruce Wilson has announced his resignation after 25 years on the bench. Assistant Charles Zander has been named the new head coach.
Siena: Longtime assistant Mitch Buonaguro has been promoted to head coach.
Wright State: We hear that the process is down to three finalists…Mike Bradbury (Morehead State), Kyle Rechlicz (Dayton) and Kathi Bennett (Wisconsin)
Norfolk State: Debra Clark has been named permanent head coach. Clark had been named interim last May.
Claflin University: Francis Marion assistant Tiffany Tucker has been named head coach at Claflin.
Furman: Jackie Smith-Carson, 2009 BasketballScoop Rising Star award winner, will be named the new head coach at her alma mater Furman later today. We hear Louis Rowe will be joining her staff.

Indiana State: Teri Moren was named head coach at Indiana State. Moren, associate head coach at Georgia Tech, had previously served as head coach at the University of Indianapolis for seven seasons.
Wake Forest: Colorado’s Jeff Bzdelik has been hired as the new head coach at Wake Forest.
Louisiana Monroe: Head coach Orlando Early has resigned and accepted an assistant position on Darrin Horn’s staff at South Carolina. Assistant Jimmy Voight has been named interim coach.
Wisconsin Green Bay: BasketballScoop has learned that UWGB plans to promote assistant Brian Wardle to head coach. Wardle was recognized as one our Rising Stars last year. Well deserved coach.

UNC Wilmington: Sources tell BasketballScoop that Wilmington has reached an agreement with Appalachian State head coach Buzz Peterson to become their next head coach. Details to come…
Holy Cross: We hear that the choice at Holy Cross is Mount St. Mary’s coach Milan Brown.
Youngstown State: Bob Boldon has been named the new head coach at Youngstown. Boldon was an assistant at Florida Gulf Coast this past season and was the head coach at Lambuth prior to that.
Cal Baptist: We hear that Oklahoma Baptist assistant John Marcum has been named the head coach at Cal Baptist.
Clemson: Brad Brownell’s contract at Clemson looks like $900k per season for six years.
Arkansas Tech: Doug Karleskint has been promoted from top assistant to Head Coach at Arkansas Tech.
Appalachian State: We hear that App State has promoted…Jason Capel to head coach. Many had expected assistant Matt McMahon to get the job; but apparently not. With this news, we expect McMahon to go with Buzz to Wilmington.
Ohio State: We hear former Tulane head coach Dave Dickerson will wind up as an assistant at Ohio State.
Chicago State: Head coach Benji Taylor has been let go.
Rutgers: Fred Hill has accepted a settlement and resigned.
Colorado: We are hearing that Colorado plans to hire Northern Colorado head coach Tad Boyle as their new head coach with an announcement to be made later today.
St. Michael’s: Michael Harding, associate head coach at Stonehill, has been named the head coach at St. Michael’s.
Tulane: We hear that Ed Conroy has hired Harold Juluke as an assistant. Juluke had been at Louisiana Monroe for the past four seasons.
Belmont: Brittney Ezell has been named the head coach at Belmont University. Ezell was the head coach at the University of Montevallo.
Clemson: Yoelette McPhee-McGuin is moving over from Pitt to Clemson as an assistant. We also hear that Clemson is hiring Karleen Thompson as an assistant.
Georgia State: East Carolina head coach Sharon Baldwin-Tener is the new head coach at Georgia State.
Alaska Fairbanks: The two finalists for the Fairbanks job at Jennifer Childress (Western Washington) and John Duncan (University of Maine at Machias).
Kansas: Tory Verdi and Chester Nichols have been hired as assistants.
Virginia Union: We hear that Barvenia Wooten-Collier is the new head coach at Virginia Union.
Houston: Sources tell BasketballScoop that Houston will announce Todd Buchanan, Houston Baptist head coach, as their new head coach today.
Illinois State: Stephanie Glance has been named the new head coach at Illinois State.
Albany: Katie Abrahamson-Henderson has been named the new head coach at Albany. Coach “Abe” was the associate head coach at Indiana the past two seasons.

Winston Salem State: We hear that Stephen Joyner is set to become the new head coach. Joyner was an assistant at Florida A&M.
Southwest Minnesota State: Allison Kruger has been named head coach. Kruger was an assistant at South Dakota.
Wake Forest: Sources tell BasketballScoop that Mark Pope will be brought in as an assistant.
Gardner Webb: We hear that Ohio assistant Chris Holtmann will be named head coach soon.
Northern Colorado: BJ Hill has been promoted to head coach.
East Carolina: Jeff Lebo’s staff is largely the same group he had at Auburn last season. Tim Craft, Ken Potosnak and Kyle Robinson all came with him and he kept Michael Perry from last year’s ECU staff. Robinson will serve as the Director of Basketball Operations.
Charlotte: We hear Desmond Oliver will be an assistant at Charlotte this year. Oliver had been on the staff at Canisius. We also hear that Virginia Tech assistant Ryan Odom will be part of the staff.
South Carolina: We hear that DBO L.J. Hepp has left the program.
Auburn: Tony Barbee’s staff from UTEP has come over intact, including Randall Dickey, Milt Wagner and Tony Madlock as assistants and Mike Babul as DBO.
Washington: Lorenzo Romar has agreed to a new 10 year contract running through the 2019-2020 season (that might be the first time we’ve ever typed 2020).
Maryville: Kevin Carroll was named head coach at Maryville. Carroll was an assistant with Air Force.
San Francisco: Rex Walters’ contract has been extended through 2015.
Grambling: We hear that Bobby Washington will have the interim tag removed and be named the head coach soon.
Hartford: John Gallagher has been named the head coach. Gallagher has been on staff at Penn for the last two seasons.
Wisconsin Green Bay: Brian Barone has been hired as an assistant. Barone comes from Indiana and had worked for Tom Crean at Marquette as well.
DePaul: We hear that Ron Bradley is heading to Chicago with coach Purnell. We also hear former DBO Josh Posterino will make the move as well.
Harding: Sources tell BasketballScoop that Arkansas video coordinator David Walker has accepted an assistant spot at Harding his alma mater.
Wright State: BasketballScoop has learned that Wright State plans to announce the hiring of Mike Bradbury later today.
Akron: Head coach Jodi Kest has been extended through the 2014-2015 season.
Duquesne: Blaine Patterson has resigned as an assistant.
Wooster: Assistant Ashley Reid has been promoted to head coach.
Sacramento State: Interim head coach Jamie Craighead has agreed to a three year deal removing the “interim” tag and making her the youngest D1 head coach (29) that we are aware of.
Stephen F. Austin: Brandon Schneider has been named the head coach at SFA. Schneider was the head coach at D-II National Champ Emporia State.
Lafayette College: Dianne Nolan is the new head coach at Lafayette. Nolan has been associate head coach at Yale for the past few seasons.
Morehead State: Mike Bradbury has resigned as head coach. A “national search” will begin immediately the AD says.
Paine College: Terrance Palmer has resigned as head coach and Willie Adams has been named the new head coach.
Indiana: Colorado assistant and former Wyoming head coach has been hired as an assistant at Indiana.
Louisiana Monroe: LSU assistant (and former LA Tech head coach) Keith Richard has been named the new head coach at ULM.
Expansion: Unfortunately we have to report that the BasketballScoop bid for the digital broadcast rights for the expanded NCAA Tournament was not accepted. Apparently CBS Sports / TBS bid slightly higher than we did. We have every confidence that they will do a great job.
Dartmouth: Paul Cormier is returning to be the head coach at Dartmouth, again. Cormier previously served as the Big Green’s head from ‘84-’91. Most recently, Cormier has served as a scout for the Golden State Warriors.
UNC Wilmington: Ann Hancock will not return as head coach.
Iowa State: We hear that the Cyclones have hired Nick Nurse as associate head coach and Jeff Grayer as an assistant.
Cornell: Virginia Tech assistant Bill Courtney has been named Cornell’s new head coach.
San Francisco: Jennifer Azzi has been named the new head coach of the Dons.
Oregon: FoxSports is reporting that Creighton head coach Dana Altman is the choice at Oregon. Altman has been the head coach at Creighton for the last 16 seasons.
East Carolina: Sources tell BasketballScoop that Chattanooga head coach Wes Moore has accepted the job at ECU.
Oregon State: Sources tell BasketballScoop that Oregon State’s program is “having issues”. Assistant Kellee Barney has left the team as have a number of players. The AD apparently has made some comments leading to even greater doubt about the status of the program. Stay tuned…

Siena: Sources tell BasketballScoop that Rutgers assistant Craig Carter has been hired as an assistant at Siena.
Citadell: We hear that Maryland assistant Chuck Driesell is expected to be named head coach at the Citadel in the next day or two. Chuck, Lefty’s son, has been on Gary Williams’ staff at Maryland for the last four seasons.
Newberry: Dave Davis has been named the new head coach. Davis had been at Pfeiffer for the last 14 seasons.
Michigan: Bacari Alexander has been named an assistant at Michigan. Alexander spent the last two seasons at Western Michigan.
Creighton: Reports out of Omaha are that Iowa State coach Greg McDermott has been offered and has accepted the job at Creighton. Not confirmed; but there are reports.
Hampton: We hear that Kevin Nickelberry has accepted the head job at Howard.

West Georgia: Scott Groninger, Christian Brothers head coach, has been named the new head coach at West Georgia.
UTEP: Tim Floyd has hired William Small as an assistant. Small most recently was on Rod Barnes staff at Georgia State.
Trinity College: Adelphi head coach James Cosgrove has been named the new head coach at Trinity.
Iowa State: Fred Hoiberg has been named the new head coach. The Mayor is back in town. We hear he plans to keep Jeff Grayer on staff. Hoiberg’s contract is 5 years, with $800k guaranteed in year 1.
Binghamton: Marc Macon has been extended for two seasons; but will retain the “interim” tag. Huh? That’s what they announced.
Clemson: Dick Bender has been named DBO at Clemson.
St. Bonaventure: Sources tell BasketballScoop that Michael Adams is leaving Archbishop Carroll HS in DC to become an assistant at St. Bonaventure.
LSU: Sources tell BasketballScoop that Alabama associate head coach Jori Crenshaw has accepted an assistant position on the LSU staff.
Newman University: Jaime Green, head coach at Labette CC, has been named the new head coach at Newman. Andy Hamilton, head coach at Allen County CC, and Gayla Soyez, head coach at Friends University, have both been hired as assistants.
Nebraska: Dayna Finch has been hired as an assistant, she had been an assistant at Creighton for the past two seasons.
Friends University: RaeAnne Boothe has been named the new head coach. Boothe was an assistant at Brenau Univ. in Georgia for the last four seasons.
Emporia State: Jory Collins has been named the new head coach. Collins was the lead assistant this past season.
Butler: Tisha Hill and Alex Webster have been hired as assistants at Butler. Hill is the former head coach at Youngstown State while Webster has been at IPFW for the past few seasons as the top assistant.
VCU: Sources tell BasketballScoop that VCU will be looking to fill an assistant spot soon. Will let you know what we find out.

Pacific: Head coach Jason Lowery is stepping down after five seasons to return to his high school alma mater Portland’s Jesuit High as the girls coach.
Army: Kevin App has been hired as an assistant. App was on the staff at Cornell last season.
Hofstra: We hear new head coach Tim Welsh has been suspended without pay following an early morning arrest on drunk driving charges.
Boston College: We hear that Niagara assistant Akbar Waheed has been added as an assistant at BC.

Iona: Mark Calzonetti and Kashif Hameed have been added to the staff. Calzonetti will be an assistant (as he was at Monmouth for the last 11 seasons) while Hameed will be the DBO.
Washington: Tia Jackson has hired Greg Nared as an assistant.
East Stroudsburg: Maureen Smith has been named the new head coach at ESU. Smith was coaching at the high school level in Florida last season.
