Rutgers: We are hearing Robert Morris head coach Mike Rice is moving to Rutgers as their new head coach.
Hofstra: Tim Welsh has resigned following his arrest last week.
Columbia: St. Mary’s associate head coach Kyle Smith has been named the head coach at Columbia.
Holy Family: Georgia Tech assistant John O’Connor has been named head coach.
Pfeiffer: Jeremy Currier has been promoted to head coach.

Chattanooga: Wes Moore decided he couldn’t make the move to ECU and has asked for and received his old job back at Chattanooga.
East Carolina: After Moore backed out, ECU hired Heather Macy, Francis Marion head coach.

Wisconsin Green Bay: Brian Wardle has announced his staff. They are Brian Barone (former DBO at Indiana), Chrys Cornelius (assistant at Eastern Illinois for the past 3 seasons) and Jimmie Foster (assistant at North Dakota).
Keuka College: Thad Phillips, an assistant at Rhodes College, has been named the new head coach at Keuka.
University of Saint Francis: The new head coach at Saint Francis is Chad LaCross, their top assistant for the past seven seasons.

Duquesne: We hear Ron Everhart has hired Greg Gary away from Centenary. Gary played at Tulane while Everhart was an assistant to Perry Clark there. We hear Adam Walsh, Gary’s assistant is expected to be elevated to head coach at Centenary.
Hofstra: Mo Cassara has been named the new head coach at Hofstra. Cassara was an assistant at B.C. for the last 4 seasons.

South Carolina: Dawn Staley has promoted Lisa Boyer to associate head coach.
Penn State: Fred Chmiel has been hired as an assistant, filling the gap created when Itoro Coleman left for Clemson. Chmiel had been an assistant at San Diego State for the past two seasons.
Tennessee: As we eluded to a few days ago, Mickie DeMoss has decided to return to Knoxville.
Western Michigan: Kristin Koetsier-Miller has been hired as an assistant at her alma mater, Western Michigan. Koetsier-Miller fills a spot opened when Yvette Harris left. She had been a high school head coach in Michigan this past season.

Citadel: Rob Burke, head coach at Spartanburg Methodist (JC), is joining Chuck Driesell’s staff at Citadel as an assistant.
Clemson: Clemson head coach Brad Brownell has hired Rick Ray from Purdue as associate head coach.
UC Santa Barbara: Kevin Bromley, the former head coach at Cal Poly, has been hired as an assistant at UCSB. Bromley did not coach last season.
Niagara: Kyle Neptune has been hired as an assistant at Niagara. Neptune served in an administrative capacity at Villanova for the past two seasons.

Wilmington: Sources tell BasketballScoop that UNCW is down to two finalists, Cynthia Cooper-Dyke and one other. We hear it should be announced later this week. Update> We hear that Cynthia Cooper-Dyke will be announced as the new head coach later today.
Seton Hall: Anne Donovan has added Jenny Palmateer and David Kim to her staff. Palmateer will serve as an assistant while Kim will be the Director of Operations.

Notre Dame: We hear that Carol Owens will land at Notre Dame. Owens, who coached at Notre Dame from ‘95-’05, has been the head coach at Northern Illinois for the past 5 seasons. Update> Carol Owens was announced as an assistant and associate women’s basketball coach at Notre Dame on Wednesday.

Indiana: Nathan Altenhofen is expected to be announced as the new lead assistant for Indiana University. Altenhofen is leaving St. Ambrose University where he was the head coach for the last three years.
Pittsburgh: Head Coach Agnus Berenato has announced the hiring of Patty Coyle as an assistant coach. Coyle was recently the head coach of the WNBA’s New York Liberty for five years where she reached the playoffs in four of her five seasons.
San Francisco: Head Coach Jennifer Azzi has hired Katy Steding and Blair Hardiek as assistant coaches to her staff. Steding comes from Columbia where she was an assistant last year. Hardiek comes from San Francisco State where she was an assistant last year.
Colorado: New head coach Linda Lappe has hired Jennie Baranczyk as an assistant coach. Baranczyk comes from Marquette where she was an assistant the past 4 years.

Rutgers: Head coach Mike Rice has started filling out his staff and has hired Jimmy Martelli as an assistant coach. Jimmy Martelli is the son of Phil Martelli, the head coach at St. Joseph’s. Martelli comes from Robert Morris, where he was an assistant coach.
Wichita State: Head coach Gregg Marshall hired Chad Dollar as an assistant coach. Dollar comes from Arkansas State where he was the associate head coach the past two years.
Mount St. Mary’s: Hired Robert Burke as its new head coach. Burke comes from American University where he was an assistant last year.
Colorado: Head coach Tad Boyle has named three assistants to his staff. They are Jean Prioleau, Mike Rohn, and Tom Abatemarco. Prioleau comes from TCU, where was an assistant the past two years. Rohn comes from Texas A&M where he was the director of operations the past three years. Abatemarco was retained by Boyle from former head coach Jeff Bzdelik’s staff.

Kentucky: Assistant Rod Strickland has been voluntarily reassigned to an administrative role. The search for a new assistant began immediately.
Appalachian State: Head coach Jason Capel has added Rick Scruggs and Justin Gainey as assistant coaches to his staff. Scruggs comes from Gardner-Webb, where he was the head coach the last fifteen seasons. Gainey comes from Elon where he was an assistant coach last season.
Bryan Allen Academy: Dave Bliss, former head coach at Baylor whose tender ended in scandal and NCAA sanctions was hired as its athletic director, dean of students and boys’ basketball coach.
Iona: Garee Bryant has been hired as an assistant coach at Iona. Bryant comes from Mount Vernon High School where he was a varsity assistant coach.
Montana Tech: Aaron Woliczko has been hired as the new head coach at Montana Tech. Woliczko comes from Pacific where he was an assistant coach the past five seasons.
Iowa: Head coach Fran McCaffery has named Sherman Dillard an assistant coach. Dillard has worked as a basketball marketing representative for Nike since 2004.
Rochester: The University of Rochester has hired Luke Flockerzi as its new head coach. Flockerzi comes from Skidmore where he was the head coach for the past three seasons.

Rutgers: David Cox, an assistant at Georgetown, will soon be named associate head coach at Rutgers we hear.
Fordham: Tom Pecora has officially named his staff and they all are coming over from Hofstra. Van Macon has been named associate head coach, David Duke and Michael Kelly are assistants, John Corso is the DBO and Mike DePaoli is the Video Coordinator.
Georgetown: Sources tell BasketballScoop that with David Cox leaving, Darryl Prue (Video Coordinator) will be promoted to an assistant.
Post University: Al Sokaitis has been named head coach of the Eagles.

Kevin Johnson moves up from Nicholls State where he was an assistant and Cord Wright comes from North Alabama where he, too, was an assistant. Richard is also keeping Jimmy Voigt as an assistant, the same position he held at ULM last season.

LSU: Tough to figure this one; but LSU head coach Trent Johnson has hired Lynn Nance as an assistant. LSU’s announcement highlights that Nance was an assistant at Kentucky from ‘74-’76. In the 80’s and 90’s Nance served as head coach at a number of schools including Iowa State and Washington. No real mention of where he has been since 2000 other than working as a “consultant and clinician at many high school and college events and in Australia for their National Basketball League teams”. Drexel: Matt Collier has been hired as an assistant at Drexel. Collier was an assistant at Howard for the past 5 seasons and worked in Ops at Drexel before that.
Robert Morris: New head coach Andy Toole has hired Vermont assistant Matt Hahn as an assistant on his staff. Hahn was at Vermont for five seasons.
Citadel: New head coach Chuck Driesell has named his three assistants: Rob Burke, Damien Price and JD Powell. We told you about Burke on the 10th, Price comes from the University of Tulsa where he was involved with Player Development and Powell moves over from Charleston Southern where he was an assistant for the last six seasons.
UNC Greensboro: Mike Dement has made some changes to his staff. Last month associate head coach Rod Jensen was hired as the head coach at College of Idaho. Dement has promoted Corey Gipson to associate head coach and he has hired Wes Miller as an assistant. Miller coached at High Point last season and was at Elon prior to that.
Wichita State: Chad Dollar has been hired as an assistant at Wichita State. Dollar has been with John Brady for the past 3 seasons, the last two as associate head coach at Arkansas State (the other at LSU).

Boston: Head coach Patrick Chambers has announced the promotion of Brian Daly to associate head coach and also announced the hiring of Dwayne Killings as an assistant coach. Daly was part of the staff at BU last year and Killings comes from the NBA D-League where he was manager of basketball operations.
UC Irvine: Head coach Russell Turner announced that Ali Ton has been hired as an assistant coach. Ton comes from Radford where he was an assistant coach the past three seasons.

Youngstown State: Head coach Bob Boldon has announced that Kate Schrader has been hired as an assistant coach. Schrader comes from Florida Gulf Coast University where she was an assistant the past two seasons.
Wichita State: Head coach Jody Adams announced that Women’s Basketball Hall of Famer and Olympic gold medalist Bridgette Gordon has joined the staff as an assistant coach. Gordon comes from Georgia State where she was an assistant the past three seasons.

CSUSM: Jim Saia was named the first head coach at Cal State University San Marcos. Saia comes from Fresno Pacific, where he was the head coach the past three seasons. CSUSM will begin its first season in 2011-12.

Columbia Basin College: Rolando Garcia has been named the new head coach. Garcia has been an assistant for CBC’s women’s basketball team the past seven seasons.
Creighton: Steve Lutz has been hired as an assistant coach. Lutz comes from SMU where he was an assistant for the last four seasons.
Columbia: We hear that head coach Kyle Smith will be bringing on Carlin Hartman as the associate head coach. Hartman is an assistant at James Madison.
Loyola-Chicago: Adam DeMong has been promoted to assistant coach. DeMong was the coordinator of men’s basketball operations last season.
Adelphi: Dominick Savino has been named the head coach at Adelphi. Savino has been an assistant coach at Adelphi the past three seasons.
Berea College (KY): John Hemenway has announced that he would be the new head coach at Berea College. Hemenway is leaving Dakota Wesleyan after five seasons as the head coach.
Central Arkansas: Head coach Corliss Williamson completed his staff by announcing Clarence Finley as the associate head coach. Finley comes from Little Rock Central, where he was a coach and a teacher.
