Manhattan: Caitlin Flood has been hired as an assistant coach.  Flood has been playing professionally in England the past two seasons.

Illinois: Head coach Jolette Law has announced the hiring of Michael Peck as an assistant coach.

Mississippi: Head coach Renee Ladner has received a contract extension through 2014.

Cal State Northridge: Jason Flowers has been named the new head coach.  Flowers comes from UC Riverside where he was an assistant the past two seasons.

Francis Marion: Gannon assistant coach Kate Glusko has resigned to take to head coaching position at Francis Marion.  Glusko was an assistant at Gannon the past two seasons.

Creighton: Head coach Jim Flanery has announced the hiring of Carrie Moore as an assistant coach.  Moore comes from Princeton, where she was the Director of Basketball Operations the past two seasons.

Northern Illinois: Marsha Frese, Joe Conroy, and E.C. Hill were announced as three assistants to head coach Kathi Bennett’s staff.  Frese comes from Ball State, where she was an assistant last year.  Conroy comes from Woodstock High School, where he was the head boy’s basketball coach.  Hill was retained and has been on the Northern Illinois staff the past six seasons.

Virginia Tech: Dennis Wolff has agreed to become the director of operations for head coach Seth Greenberg.  Wolff did not coach last season, but he was the head coach at Boston University the previous fifteen seasons.

Idaho Stampede: Former LSU basketball player Randy Livingston has been hired as the new head coach of the NBA Development League Idaho Stampede.  Livingston is the only player to have his number retired in Stampede franchise history.  Livingston served as an assistant coach with the Maine Red Claws this past season.

Air Force: Head coach Jeff Reynolds has hired Drew Long as an assistant coach.  Long comes from Colorado, where he was an assistant coach the past three seasons.

St. John’s: Head coach Steve Lavin has hired Mike Dunlap to his staff.  Dunlap was the associate head coach at Oregon last season.

UConn: We hear that Kevin Ollie is expected to replace Patrick Sellers as an assistant coach.  We will keep you updated.

UNC-Wilmington: Kevin Norris has been hired as an assistant coach.  Norris comes from Texas A&M Corpus Christi where he was an assistant coach the past two seasons.

High Point: Brian Reese has been hired as an assistant coach for head coach Scott Cherry.  Reese comes from Wingate University where he was an assistant this past season.

Virginia Tech: John Richardson has been hired as an assistant coach.  Richardson comes from Old Dominion where he was an assistant the past five seasons.

Hawaii-Manoa: Former Chicago State head coach Benjy Taylor has been hired as an assistant coach.  

Jamestown College: Greg Ulland has been hired as the new head coach.  Ulland comes from North Dakota, where he was an assistant coach.

Northeastern: Head coach Daynia La-Force Mann has announced the hiring of Tom Blake as associate head coach.  Blake comes from Quinnipiac where he was an assistant the past two seasons.

West Alabama: Emily Mason has been hired as an assistant coach for the women’s basketball team.  Mason was a graduate assistant at West Alabama last season.

SUNY-Plattsburgh: Whitney Edwards has joined the Cardinals as a new assistant coach.  Edwards comes from the Convent of Sacred Heart in Greenwich, Conn., where she was the varsity girls’ head basketball coach.

Lipscomb: Head coach Frank Bennett has announced the hiring of Krystle Horton as a new assistant coach.  Horton comes from Middle Tennessee where she was a graduate assistant last season.

Oregon State: Head coach LaVonda Wagner has been let go by Oregon State.  Wagner was 68-85 in five seasons as the Beavers head coach.

Ball State: Head coach Kelly Packard has hired Todd Steelman as associate head coach.  Steelman comes from Clemson where he was an assistant coach the past five seasons.

Western Michigan: Jeff Dunlap has returned to Western Michigan as an assistant coach.  Dunlap was an assistant coach at Western Michigan from 2004-2007.  Dunlap comes from Big Shots, where he worked camps and clinics all over the country.

St. Michael’s College: Nick Leonardelli has been hired as an assistant coach.  Leonardelli comes from St. Lawrence where he was a graduate assistant last season.

Louisiana Tech: Derrick Jones has been hired as an assistant at Louisiana Tech.  Jones comes from the University of New Orleans where he was heavily involved in recruiting, player evaluation, academics and on-court preparation for the Privateers the past two seasons.

Oklahoma: Head coach Jeff Capel has promoted Bryan Goodman and Dionne Phelps to assistant coaches.  Goodman was director of basketball operations and Phelps was the video coordinator.  Both have been on the staff the last four seasons.

Spartanburg Methodist College: Jeff Brookman has been hired as the new head coach.  Brookman comes from Anderson University where he was an assistant the past three seasons.

Cal Poly Pomona: Head coach Scott Davis has resigned as the head coach.  Davis was 50-37 during his three seasons as head coach.

Florida State: Head coach Sue Semrau has received a contract extension through the 2014-15 season.  Semrau recently completed her 13th season with the Seminoles

Roger Williams: Tracey Hathaway has resigned as the head coach.  Hathaway was 28-49 during her three seasons at Roger Williams University.  Assistant coach Chris Passmore has been named interim head coach until Hathaway’s replacement has been found.

Alaska Fairbanks: Cody Burgess and Nicole Schutte have been announced as the finalists for the Nanooks head coaching position.  We will keep you updated.

East Carolina: Head coach Heather Macy has announced the rest of her staff.  Fred Applin, Ann Hancock, Shay Hayes, and Carol Sciaretta have all been named to Macy’s staff.  Applin comes from Washington, where he was an assistant coach the past three seasons.  Hancock comes from UNC-Wilmington, where she was the head coach the past ten seasons.  Hayes was at Holly Spring High School the past four seasons.  Sciaretta comes from Francis Marion, where she was an assistant coach the past two seasons.  Applin, Hancock, and Hayes will all be assistant coaches and Sciaretta will be the director of basketball operations.

Michigan: Reports are saying that assistant basketball coach Mike Jackson is leaving Michigan for Purdue.  Jackson has been an assistant with the Wolverines since 2005.

South Florida: Assistant coach Terrelle Woody is leaving the program to start a personal-training business.  Woody was on the staff for two seasons as a video and conditioning assistant. 

St. Mary’s Ryken High School: St. Mary’s Ryken High School, a member of the prestigious Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC), seeks qualified candidates for the position of head assistant men’s basketball coach/full-time teacher. Successful candidates should have coaching/recruiting experience at the college or high school level and teaching qualifications in history or math.  This job will include the duties of Head JV Coach, Head Varsity Assistant, and Head Recruiter. Maryland: We hear that head coach Gary Williams may be hiring Bino Ranson as an assistant coach.  Ranson is an assistant coach at Xavier.  We will keep you updated.

Middle Tennessee: Rob Moxley has been hired as an assistant coach.  Moxley comes from UNC-Charlotte where he was the associate head coach the past five seasons.

Metro State: Derrick Clark has been named head coach at Metro State.  Clark comes from Colorado where he was an assistant the past three seasons.

Central Michigan: Heather Oesterle has been hired as an assistant coach.  Oesterle comes from Northern Illinois where she was an assistant the past two seasons.

USC: Head coach Michael Cooper has added two new assistant coaches to his staff.  Laura Beeman and Michael Cooper II have been added to the Women of Troy and have complete Cooper’s staff.  Beeman comes from Mt.  San Antonio College where she was the head coach the past fifteen seasons.  Cooper II comes from Excel Educational Enterprises, where he coordinated tutoring and youth-enrichment programming in five states.

Taylor University: Brad Zarges has accepted the top assistant spot at Taylor University (IN).  Zarges comes from Houghton College where he was the head coach the past 11 seasons.

Siena: Stephen Ott has been hired as an assistant coach at Siena.  Ott has spent the last two years working as the director of team events for The Hoop Scoop.  Ott was the director of basketball operations under Fran McCaffery from 2006 to 2008.

Elon: Jack Wooten has been promoted from director of basketball operations to assistant coach.  Wooten was the director of basketball operations for one season.

LaSalle: Head coach Dr. John Giannini and the school have agreed on a multi-year extension that could keep Giannini with LaSalle for years to come.

East Carolina: Shay Hayes has been hired as an assistant coach.  Hayes comes from Holly Springs High School where she was the head coach.

Michigan Tech: Head coach John Barnes has resigned to accept an assistant coaching position at Wisconsin.  Barnes was the head coach the past seven seasons.

Penn: Rudy Wise has been named an assistant coach.  Wise spent last season working camps at Temple.

Northern Colorado: Chris Craig has been hired as an assistant coach.  Craig comes from the College of Eastern Utah where he was the head coach the past three seasons.

Adams State: Head coach Louis Wilson has hired D’Marr Suggs as a graduate assistant coach.  Suggs comes from Northeastern Junior College (CO) where he was an assistant coach the past four seasons.

Northern State: Matt Sevareid has been hired as the team’s top assistant coach.  Sevareid comes from Presentation College, where he was the head coach the last three seasons.

Middle Tennessee: Head coach Rick Insell has hired Lynn Burkey as an assistant coach.  Burkey comes from Shelbyville Central High School (TN) where he was the head coach the past five seasons.  Burkey was an assistant to Insell at Shelbyville before coach Insell was hired at MTSU.

Hartford: Head coach Jennifer Rizzotti announced the addition of Erica Beverly to her staff and the promotion of Ikea Witt to assistant coach.  Witt was the director of basketball operations the past three seasons and Beverly will now take over the same job.

Mississippi State: Wanika Owsley has been hired as an assistant coach.  Owsley comes from Morgan State where she was there for only one season.

Peninsula College (WA): Lance Von Vogt has been named the new head coach.  Von Vogt comes from Arizona Western College, where he was an assistant the past four seasons.

San Jose State: Talvin Hester has accepted an assistant coaching position.  Hester comes from Prairie View A&M where he was the associate head coach the past five seasons.

Michigan: Head coach John Beilein has announced the hiring of LaVall Jordan as an assistant coach.  Jordan comes from Iowa where he was an assistant coach the past three seasons.

Mercer: Head coach Janell Jones has resigned.  Jones was the head coach for three seasons and finished with a record of 35-56.  Jones is returning to California to the head coaching position at Cal State Los Angeles.

Valley Forge Military Academy & College: Valley Forge Military Academy & College is looking for women’s basketball head coach.

Miami: Head coach Katie Meier has signed a five-year contract extension with the Hurricanes.

Hope College: Matt Neil has been promoted to head coach.  Neil has been an assistant at Hope since 1985.  Neil becomes just the fourth Hope men’s basketball coach over the past 62 seasons.

Defiance College: Head coach Kyle Brumett has announced the hiring of Nate Conley as a graduate assistant.  Conley graduated in May from Defiance.

Harvard: Head coach Kathy Delaney-Smith announced the hiring of Missy Traversi to her staff.  Traversi comes from Dover Sherborn High School, where she was the head coach the past two seasons.

Rutgers: Chelsea Newton has been named an assistant coach.  This is Newton’s second stint on Rutgers bench.  Newton was the Director of Player Development during the 2006-07 season.

Washington: Kyle Locke has filled a vacant assistant coach position on head coach Tia Jackson’s staff.  Locke comes from Coppin State, where he was an assistant the past nine seasons.

UTEP: Former Trinity Valley head coach Bill Damuth is named assistant coach at UTEP replacing Darren Brunson.  Brunson left UTEP to become associate head coach at Texas Southern.

Framingham State: Paul Wholey has been named head coach.  Wholey comes from Pembroke High School where he was the head coach the past four seasons.

Indiana State: The Tribune-Star reports that head coach Kevin McKenna will leave Indiana State to take a job at Oregon.

Northern Arizona: Jay Collins was named an assistant coach.  Collins comes from Cochise College (AZ) where he was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.

Arkansas Tech: Head coach Doug Karleskint announced the addition of Almir Smajic to his staff as an assistant coach.  Smajic comes from Texas Tech, where he was a graduate assistant the past four seasons.

Miami: Vernette Skeete has been named an assistant coach.  Skeete was the coordinator of basketball operations at Miami a year ago.

Marymount: Ashlee Courter is the new Marymount head coach.  Courter comes from Franklin and Marshall, where she was the head coach the past four seasons.

San Diego State: Mark Trakh has been named the associate head coach.  Trakh comes from USC where he was the head coach the past five seasons.

Cal State East Bay: Suzy Barcomb has been named the head coach.  Barcomb comes from Puget Sound, where she was the head coach the past 12 seasons.

Columbia: Nettie Respondek has joined the staff as an assistant coach.  Respondek comes from Fordham, where she was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.

Carson-Newman: Associate head coach Chuck Benson has officially been named head coach.  Benson succeeds Dale Clayton who has become associate AD.  Benson has been at Carson-Newman for four seasons and was an assistant at Tennessee prior to that.

Christopher Newport: John Krikorian has been named head coach.  Krikorian comes from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, where he was the head coach the past four seasons.

Indiana State: The Tribune-Star has reported that associate head coach Greg Lansing will be named head coach.  Lansing has been an assistant coach at Indiana State since 2006.

AIB Des Moines: Tony Giannetto has been named the head coach.  The men’s basketball team will begin play in 2011.  Giannetto currently serves as the head men’s and women’s golf coach.

Georgia Tech: Robert McCullum has been named an assistant coach.  McCullum comes from Central Florida, where he was an assistant last season.

Texas State: Katie Paganelli has been named Graduate Assistant-Head Manager.  Paganelli played for Saint Louis last season.

Jamestown College: Matt Murken has been named head coach.  Murken comes from Des Moines Area Community College, where he was an assistant last season.

Vermont: Kyle Cieplicki has been hired as director of basketball operations.  Cieplicki comes from Brown where he was an assistant.

Villanova: Keith Urgo has been promoted to assistant coach.  Urgo was the Wildcats’ manager of basketball operations the past two seasons.  Urgo’s former position will be taken over by Baker Dunleavy.

Lafayette College: Lafayette College has completed their staff.  Kim Foley has been appointed first assistant.  Shireyll Moore and Kim Benton were also added as assistants.

North Texas: Jalie Mitchell and Johnetta Hayes have left their positions as assistant coaches.  Both will be going to UNC-Wilmington in the same capacity.

Rice: Marco Marcos has been promoted to assistant coach.  Marcos has been the director of basketball operations at Rice the past two seasons.

Arkansas State: Issac Brown has been hired as an assistant coach.  Brown comes from Arkansas, where he was an assistant the past three seasons.

Apprentice School (VA): Franklin Chatman is the new head coach.  Chatman comes from Nansemond-Suffolk Academy where he was the head coach the past two seasons.

Duquesne: Scott Rigot has resigned as an assistant coach.  Rigot was an assistant coach the past two seasons.

Iowa State: Head coach Fred Hoiberg has added Bobby Lutz as an assistant coach.  Lutz comes from Charlotte, where he was the head coach the past 12 seasons.

Houston: Head coach Todd Buchanan has finished assembling his staff.  Ravon Justice has been hired as an assistant coach and Rusty Laverentz has been hired as director of operations.  Justice comes from Houston Baptist, where she was an assistant the past five seasons.  Laverentz also comes from Houston Baptist, where he was an assistant coach.

Michigan Tech: Kim Cameron has been promoted to head coach.  Cameron has been an assistant coach at Michigan Tech the past five seasons.

Mississippi State: Assistant coach Robert Kirby is leaving for a similar position at Georgetown.  Kirby has been an assistant the past twelve seasons with the Bulldogs.

Eastern Kentucky: Everick Sullivan has been promoted to associate head coach.  Sullivan was an assistant the past two seasons with Eastern Kentucky.

Ball State: Assistant coach Joseph Price has resigned to accept the same position at Morehead State.  Price has been on the staff at Ball State the past three seasons.

Fresno Pacific: Erin Scholz has been named the head coach.  Scholz comes from Utah State where she was an assistant the past four seasons.

Lon Morris College (JUCO-TX): Bernita Williams has been named head coach.  Williams was an assistant at LMC the past two seasons.

IUPUI: Brittany Korth has been named an assistant coach.  Korth comes from Cleveland State, where she was a student assistant the past two seasons.

Missouri State: Head coach Cuonzo Martin has received a contract extension through the 2014-15 season.

UC-Irvine: Amadou “Pape” Koundoul has been named an assistant coach.  Koundoul comes from Centenary College where he was an assistant last season.

Michigan: Travis Conlan has been hired as an administrative assistant.  Conlan played at Michigan from 1995-98 and comes from Europe where he finished his 12 year basketball career in Poland.

St. Bonaventure: Michael Adams has resigned as an assistant coach.  He was only an assistant coach for six weeks.  He wants to focus on his son who is entering his senior year of high school.

Indiana: Whitney Thomas has been hired on to the staff as the team’s video coordinator.  Thomas was a student assistant last season.

Tulane: Doshia Woods has been named an assistant coach.  Woods comes from Missouri where she was an assistant coach the past two seasons.

South Carolina: Head coach Dawn Staley announced the hiring of Darius Taylor as an assistant.  Taylor comes from the NBADL, where he was working for the past two seasons.

University at Albany: Mary Grimes, Fred Castro, and Amber Metoyer have all been added as assistants.  Grimes comes from Syracuse where she was an assistant the past five seasons.  Castro comes from Mercer University, where he was an assistant the past two seasons.  Metoyer comes from Oklahoma State, where she was a graduate assistant the past two seasons.

Air Force: Yolisha Jackson and Courtney Robinson have been added to the coaching staff.  Jackson comes from Kennesaw State where she was an assistant the past five seasons.  Robinson comes from Southern California where she was the director of operations last season.

Morehead State: Head coach Tom Hodges has announced the hiring of three assistant coaches, Eric White, Lindsey Hicks and Christian Stefanopoulos.  White comes from Middle Tennessee.  Hicks comes from Europe, where she has played professionally the past seven years.  Stefanopoulos comes from Kentucky where she has been on the staff the past three seasons.

Campbell University (NC): Charles Baker has been promoted to associate head coach, Brian Burg has been named assistant coach/recruiting coordinator and Ryan Ridder has been hired as assistant coach at Campbell University.  Baker and Burg are both in their second year at Campbell.  Ridder comes from Embry-Riddle, where he was a volunteer assistant last season.

Fordham: John Morton has been hired as an assistant coach.  Morton comes from St. Peters, where he was an assistant the past four seasons.

Wisconsin-Superior: Matt Siverling has been named head coach.  Siverling comes from Arkansas, where he was the program specialist and video coordinator the past three seasons.

Maryville University (MO): Ryan Hart has been named an assistant coach.  Hart comes from Eastern Kentucky, where he was the director of basketball operations the past two seasons.

Knoxville College: We hear Dr. Kevin Butler is soon to be named the new head coach to revive the men’s basketball program.  Dr. Butler is the training director of All-Star Basketball & Physical Eduacation Academy, Inc. in Charlotte, NC.

Mercer: Head coach Bob Hoffman has received a two year contract extension keeping Hoffman with the Bears through 2015.

Mercer: It is expected Mercer will hire Susie Gardner as their new head coach.  Gardner comes from Florida, where she was an assistant the past three seasons.

Oregon: It is expected that Tony Stubblefield will be named the final assistant coach.  Stubblefield comes from Cincinnati where he was an assistant the past four seasons.

Columbia: Carlin Hartman has been hired as associate head coach.  Hartman comes from James Madison where he was an assistant last season.

Panola College (TX): Junsie Cotten has been hired as the new head coach.  Cotten comes from Lincoln Trail College (IL), where he was the head coach the past five seasons.

Air Force: Tom Mosca has been hired as an assistant coach.  Mosca comes from Jefferson High School in Tampa, FL where he was the head coach.

Minnesota: Curtis Loyd was named an assistant coach.  Loyd comes from Akron, where he was the associate head coach last season.

Rice: Carlos Quintero has resigned as associate head coach to pursue other opportunities.  He was a part of the coaching staff the past eight seasons.

St. Bonaventure: Kate Atcher has been named an assistant coach.  Atcher was a volunteer assistant coach at Pike Delta York High School in Delta, Ohio, and also was a graduate assistant in the Bowling Green athletics development office last year.

Louisville: Head coach Rick Pitino has hired Tim Fuller, Mark Lieberman, and David Padgett to his staff.  Fuller comes from a NBA sports marketing firm for Nike for the past two years.  Lieberman comes from Monsignor Pace High School in Miami, Fla., where he was the head coach the past 13 years.  Padgett just finished playing overseas the past two years.

Ball State: Director of basketball operations Mitch Gilfillan has been promoted to assistant coach.  Gilfillan was the director of basketball operations for only one season.

Simon Fraser (Canada): James Blake has been hired as the new head coach.  Blake comes from Columbia Junior College (CA), where he was the associate head coach last season.

Providence: Chris Driscoll has been named an assistant coach.  Driscoll comes from the Boston Amateur Basketball Club, where he was an assistant since 2000.

Ball State: Audrey McDonald has been hired as director of basketball operations for the Cardinals’ women’s basketball team.  McDonald was a guard for the Ball State women’s basketball team from 2006-10.

Skidmore College (NY): Joe Burke has been hired as the new head coach.  Burke comes from Navy, where he was an assistant the past six seasons.

Penn State: Ernie Nestor has been named director of operations.  Nestor has over 41 years of coaching experience and recently was a scout for the New Jersey Nets last season.

Princeton: Martin Bahar has been elevated from director of operations to assistant coach.  Bahar was director of operations for just one season.

Hawaii: Scott Fisher has been added to the staff as director of operations.  Fisher has spent the last twenty years in Australia as a player and coach.

American: Head coach Jeff Jones has added Lamar Barrett and Matt Wolff to his staff.  Barrett, who will be an assistant, comes from Brown where he was an assistant the past two seasons.  Wolff, who will be director of operations, comes from Boston University where he graduated last year.

Kennesaw State: Dave Houle has been hired as an assistant coach.  Houle has recently been coaching AAU basketball and offering private tutoring lessons.

Georgia Tech: Head coach MaChelle Joseph has received a five-year contract extension through 2015.

Kentucky State: Serena King-Coleman has been hired as the new head coach.  King-Coleman comes from St. Paul’s College (VA), where she was a coach, administrator, and assistant athletic director the past six seasons.

Illinois: Assistant coach Patrick Klein has resigned.  Klein was an assistant coach the past three seasons.

Utah State: Hanna Howard and Danyelle Snelgro have been hired as assistant coaches.  Howard comes from UC San Diego, where she was an assistant the past three seasons.  Snelgro was a standout point guard for Utah State from 2006-09 and played in Finland last season.

Radford: Keith McCray and Fran Recchia have been hired as assistant coaches.  McCray comes from Hampton, where he was an assistant the past three seasons.  Recchia comes from William Byrd High School in Roanoke, where she was the head coach the past three seasons.

Guilford College (NC): Caleb Kimbrough has been hired on to the staff.  Kimbrough comes from Washington and Lee, where he was an assistant coach last season.

Oregon State:  Scott Rueck has been named the new head coach at Oregon State.  Rueck has been the head coach at D-III George Fox for the past 14 seasons and won the national championship this past season.  Rueck is from Oregon and is an alum of Oregon State.
