UCLA: Tyus Edney has been named the director of operations. Edney played in the NBA for four seasons and also played overseas for many years as well.
Central Florida: Veteran NBA assistant coach and scout Brendan Suhr has joined the UCF men’s basketball staff as the director of program development. Suhr most recently was speaking and consulting as founder and president of Off the Court, Inc.
Nebraska: Tracy Webster has been hired as an assistant coach. Webster comes from DePaul, where he was an assistant coach, and named interim head coach last season.
Navy: We hear that former Duke PG Greg Paulus has accepted an assistant job at Navy.
Penn State-Fayette: Mark John has been named the new head coach. John comes from Laurel Highlands High School, where he served as the assistant coach for the girl’s basketball team.

New Jersey City University: Interim head coach Marc Brown has been appointed the new head coach permanently. Brown has been the interim head coach the past three seasons.
Voorhees College (SC): Michael Cheaney has been named the new head coach. Cheaney was formerly an assistant coach at Livingston College (NC).
Plymouth State (NH): Damien Strahorn has been named the new head coach. Strahorn comes from Columbia University, where he was an assistant the past four seasons.

Valparaiso: Steve Helm has been hired as an assistant coach. Helm comes from Ancilla College (IN), where he was there for six seasons, five as the men’s head coach.
Memphis: Assistant coach Danielle O’Banion has been promoted to Associate Head Coach. O’Banion has been an assistant coach at Memphis the past two seasons.
Central Florida: Head coach Joi Williams has announced the hiring of Richard Fortune as an assistant coach. Fortune comes from working as an assistant coach with Boo Williams AAU in Hampton, VA since 2008.

Fairleigh Dickinson: Marcus Toney-El has been hired as an assistant coach. Toney-El has coached at various high school summer camps and was head coach of the Playaz AAU program after a four year playing career in Japan.
Oklahoma Baptist: Kyle Tolin has been promoted to associate head coach. Tolin has been on the coaching staff for the past four seasons.
Northern Colorado: Logan Bean has been hired as Director of Basketball Operations. Bean comes from Marquette, where he was the graduate manager the past two seasons.

Southern Wesleyan (SC): John Davis has been hired as the new head coach. Davis comes from Wesley College, where he was an assistant for the past eight years, six on the men’s team and two on the women’s team.
Gannon University (PA): Head coach Cleve Wright has hired Meredith Baugher and Tiffany Crocker as assistant coaches. Baugher comes from Youngstown State, where she was an assistant the past two seasons. Crocker recently just graduated from Gannon this past spring.

Quinnipiac: Head coach Tricia Fabbri has received a contract extension through the 2014-15 season.
Montana State: Head coach Tricia Binford has received a contract extension through mid-2013. Binford is entering her sixth season as head coach.
Michigan State: Head coach Suzy Merchant has announced the hiring of David De La Pena as Coordiantor of Basketball Operations. De La Pena comes from Lubbock Christian University, where he was the video coordinator and graduate assistant coach the past two seasons.

Arkansas: Scotty Thurman has been hired as director of student-athlete development and Sean Dwyer has been hired as the video coordinator. Thurman most recently was coaching middle-school level basketball and working in marketing for Episcopal Collegiate School in Little Rock. Dwyer comes from Florida, where he was a graduate assistant and assistant video coordinator last season.

Penn State Altoona: Chad Carlson and Glenn Sekunda have been added to the staff. Carlson is also an Assistant Professor of Kinesiology at Penn State Altoona, and worked at Hope College for three seasons as an assistant. Sekunda has been a coach and the director of the PA Slam, a boys AAU basketball program located in Boalsburg, Pennsylvania. This past July, he coached with the New York Knicks in the NBA Summer League held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Auburn University at Montgomery: Jack Waters has been hired as an assistant coach. Waters comes from Tucker High School in Atlanta, where he was the head coach at the high school and middle school level for 18 years.

Snowden recently returned to the United States after spending the 2009-10 school year teaching elementary and secondary school physical education, elementary school character training and Bible and secondary school health, and coaching secondary school girls’ soccer and basketball for Jerusalem Schools in Jerusalem, Israel.
Pacific: Davin Johnson has been hired as an assistant coach. Johnson has spent the last nine years coaching with the NorCal Elite Basketball Club, one of the top Amateur Athletic Union programs in the nation.
Auburn: Kerry Cremeans has been promoted to associate head coach. Cremeans is entering her seventh year at Auburn.

Arizona: Danny Peters has been hired as a graduate assistant and Jeff Feld has been promoted to assistant of basketball operations. Peters is a former player and manager at Ohio State. Feld served as manager and video coordinator since 2006.
Iowa: Head coach Fran McCaffery has finally signed his contract. The six-year, $7.175 million contract starts with a base salary of $650,000 in 2010. Outside income totaling $450,000 annually — coming from public appearances, television and radio programming, as well as a Nike apparel and shoe contract — brings McCaffery’s guaranteed compensation to $1.1 million this year.
