Florida Gulf Coast University: Head coach Dave Balza has been reassigned within the athletic department.  Balza will fulfill the remainder of his contract and take over the role of Executive Director of the Eagles Club.  Balza was 39-82 in four D-I seasons after going 114-39 in five seasons in D-II as the Eagles founding coach.  Also, three assistant coach – Tae Norwood, Leo Miller and Juan Cedeno – will be released at the end of their current, one-year contracts, which expire at various times in the spring.

Saint Leo University (FL): The head coaching position is open.

Earlham College (IN): The head coaching position is open.

Southeast Missouri State: Head coach John Ishee’s contract will not be renewed for next season.  Ishee has been the head coach for the past five seasons.

UNC Greensboro: Head coach Lynn Agee has retired.  Agee has been the head coach for the past thirty seasons and held a 556-311 record at UNC Greensboro.

San Jose State: Head coach Pam DeCosta has resigned.  DeCosta was the head coach the past four seasons.

Fordham: Head coach Cathy Andruzzi has decided to pursue other interests and will not return next season.  Andruzzi just completed her fifth season at Fordham.

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi: Head coach Perry Clark’s contract will not be renewed next season.  Clark was the head coach the past four seasons.  

Eastern Washington: Head coach Kirk Earlywine’s contract will not be renewed when it expires at the end of the month.  Earlywine was the head coach the past four seasons.

Oglethorpe University (GA): Head coach Ron Sattele has resigned.  Sattele has been the head coach for the past seven seasons.

Winthrop: Head coach Bud Childers has agreed to give up his coaching duties following the Big South Conference Tournament.  Childers has been the head coach for the past seven seasons.

Weber State: Head coach Carla Taylor’s contract will not be renewed next season.  Taylor just completed her 23rd season as head coach of the team, compiling a 308-341 record.

Providence: Head coach Keno Davis has been fired.  Davis has been the head coach for the past three seasons.

Northern Illinois: Sundance Wicks will serve as interim head coach.  Wicks has been an assistant at Northern Illinois the past four seasons.

Lubbock Christian University: Todd Duncan has been named the new head coach.  Duncan comes from Trinity Christian School, where he was the athletic director and head boy’s basketball coach the past 15 seasons.

Pepperdine: Head coach Tom Asbury is retiring and associate head coach Marty Wilson will be introduced as the new head coach.  Asbury just finished his third season in his second stint as the head coach at Pepperdine.  Wilson has been an assistant coach on the staff for the past three years.

Manhattan College: Head coach Barry Rohrssen has been fired.  Rohrssen has been the head coach for the past five seasons.

Los Angeles Sparks: Joe “Jellybean” Bryant has been hired as an assistant coach.  Bryant most recently was head coach of Raru Kamuy Hokkaido, a Japanese first division men’s team. He also taught at a private basketball academy in Japan.  Bryant was the head coach of the Sparks from late 2005-2006.

Darton College (NY): Brandon Podgorski has been hired as an interim head coach.  Podgorski was the Fitness Center Director at Darton College and assistant coach last season.

NC State: Head coach Sidney Lowe has resigned.  Lowe has been the head coach for the past five seasons.

Fresno State: Head coach Steve Cleveland has been relieved of his duties.  Cleveland has been the head coach for the past six seasons.

Colgate (NY): The administration has released head coach Emmett Davis and the rest of the staff.  Davis has been the head coach for the past thirteen seasons.

Paine College (GA): Interim coach Jimmy Link has been named the full-time head coach.  Link, who began work as an assistant last season, took over for longtime coach Ron Spry in December. When Spry resigned in January, Link assumed control of the program on an interim basis.

Colby College (ME): Head coach Dick Whitmore has announced his retirement.  Whitmore has been the head coach for the past 40 years and ends his career with a record of 637-341.

Point Loma Nazarene (CA): Head coach Ethan Hamilton has resigned but will continue with his responsibilities as the university’s director of athletics.  Hamilton was the head coach for the last three seasons.

Montana State Billings: Head coach George Pfeifer will not return next season.  Pfeifer has been the head coach for the last three seasons.

Nebraska: Head coach Doc Sadler has received a contract extension.  Sadler’s contract will now extend through the 2015-16 season.

Southern Illinois: Ron Smith has been hired as the new associate head coach.  Smith previously served under current Creighton coach Greg McDermott for nine seasons at Northern Iowa and Iowa State before leaving as the director of basketball operations in 2010 to start a business in Florida.

Central Washington: Head coach Jeff Whitney’s contract will not be renewed.  Whitney was the head coach for the past 14 seasons.

High Point: Head coach Tooey Loy has resigned, effective immediately.  The school has named assistant Karen Curtis McConico as the interim head coach.  Loy was the head coach for the last 10 years.

LSU: Head coach Van Chancellor has resigned.  Chancellor was the head coach for the past four seasons.

Colgate: Head coach Pam Bass has resigned.  Bass has been the head coach for the past four seasons.

University of Mount Union: Head coach Lee Hood has resigned.  Hood has a 250-246 record and was named Ohio Athletic Conference coach of the year in 1997 as he led the Purple Raiders to a school-record 25 wins, OAC regular season and tournament titles and claimed the school’s first-ever men’s basketball NCAA Tournament bid.

Briar Cliff University (IA): Assistant coach Nic Nelson has been promoted to head coach.  Nelson has been an assistant coach for the past four seasons.

Georgia State: Ron Hunter will be named the new head coach.  Hunter comes from IUPUI, where he was the head coach for the past 17 years.

Texas Tech: Billy Gillispie has been hired as the new head coach.  Gillispie last coached at Kentucky, where he was the head coach for two seasons before he was fired in 2009.

Alabama A&M: Head coach Vann Pettaway is expected to resign.  Pettaway has been the head coach for the past 25 seasons.

Virginia Tech: Dennis Wolff has been hired as the new head coach.  Wolff has been the director of basketball operations for the men’s basketball team at Virginia Tech this past season.

Tabor College (KS): Shawn Reed has been hired as the new head coach.  Reed comes from Sterling College (KS), where he was the assistant athletic director, assistant professor of exercise science and servant leadership coordinator.  He also was an assistant coach for the women’s basketball team at Sterling College from 1997 to 2006.

Wisconsin: Head coach Lisa Stone has been fired.  Stone has been the head coach for the past eight seasons.

Providence: Ed Cooley has been hired as the new head coach.  Cooley comes from Fairfield, where he was the head coach for the last five seasons.

Tennessee: Houston Fancher has been named interim head coach.  Fancher was the director of video scouting for the men’s basketball team at Tennessee.

Arkansas: We hear that Mike Anderson has informed Missouri that he has accepted the head coaching job at Arkansas.  Early word is 7 years at $2.2 million per.

Louisiana Tech: Head coach Kerry Rupp has been relieved of his duties.  Rupp has been the head coach for the past four seasons.

Tennessee Tech: Head coach Mike Sutton has retired after nine seasons.  Steve Payne, who has worked as Sutton’s associate head coach all nine years at Tech, was introduced as the new coach.

Morehead State: Head coach Donnie Tyndall and Morehead State have agreed on a new contract.  The new four-year agreement will pay Tyndall $230,000 per year.

Florida Gulf Coast University: Andy Enfield has been named the new head coach.  Enfield comes from Florida State, where he was an assistant since 2006.

Kansas Wesleyan: Chris Fear has been named the new head coach.  Fear comes from Midland University, where he was an assistant coach this past season.

UC Davis: Head coach Gary Stewart will transition into a new set of administrative responsibilities within the athletics department.  Stewart was the head coach for eight seasons.

Iowa State: Assistant coach Elwyn McRoy is leaving.  McRoy was an assistant under head coach Fred Hoiberg for only one season.

Louisiana Tech: Michael White will be named the new head coach.  White comes from Ole Miss, where he was an assistant coach the last seven years.

Abeline Christian: Grant McCasland has been hired as the new head coach.  McCasland comes from Midwestern State, where he was the head coach the past two seasons.

Hofstra: Head coach Mo Cassara has received a contract extension through the 2015-16 season.

Georgia State: Darryl LaBarrie has been hired as an assistant coach.  LaBarrie comes from Georgia Tech, where he was an assistant the last two seasons.

Virginia Union University: Luqman Jaaber has been named the head coach.  Jaaber served as an assistant at Virginia Union during the 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons. After two years, Jaaber left Virginia Union with the intention of playing professionally. Ultimately, he founded his own personal training business.

Cal State Bakersfield: Rod Barnes has been hired as the new head coach.  Barnes comes from Georgia State, where he was the head coach for the past four seasons.

Tennessee: Head coach Cuonzo Martin has hired Jon Harris as an assistant coach.  Harris comes from Missouri State, where he was an assistant the past three seasons.
