Findlay: Legendary head coach Ron Niekamp has announced his retirement.  Associate head coach Charlie Ernst has been promoted to head coach.

Eastern Washington: Jim Hayford has been hired as the new head coach.  Hayford comes from Whitworth University, where he was the head coach for the last 10 seasons.

Southeastern Oklahoma State: Kelly Green has been hired as the new head coach.  Green comes from Arizona Western, where he was the head coach for the last 14 seasons.

LSU: UCLA head coach Nikki Caldwell has agreed to become the new head coach at LSU.  Caldwell served as head coach at UCLA for three years.

Missouri: When we first heard, we said, “no way”.  The second time, “there’s just no way”.  Well, ESPN is now reporting that sources tell them it’s done.  Miami head coach Frank Haith is set to become the next head coach at Missouri.  In seven seasons at Miami, Haith’s record is slightly above .500.

Dayton: Sources tell us that Arizona assistant Archie Miller (Sean’s brother) will accept the head coaching job at Dayton.

Utah: We hear Larry Krystkowiak has been hired as the new head coach at Utah.  He comes from the New Jersey Nets where he is an assistant.

Towson: Pat Skerry has been hired as the new head coach.  Skerry comes from Pitt, where he was an assistant coach last season.

Loyola: Porter Moser will be named head coach. Moser comes from Saint Louis University, where he was the associate head coach the last three seasons and on the staff the last four seasons.

Oklahoma: We hear that Lon Kruger has been hired as the new head coach.  Kruger comes from UNLV, where he was the head coach the last seven seasons.

Southern: Head coach Rob Spivery has been fired.  Spivery has been the head coach for the last six seasons.

Missouri State: Paul Lusk has been hired as the new head coach.  Lusk comes from Purdue, where he was the associate head coach and was on the staff the last seven seasons.

LSU: We hear that long time assistant coach Bob Starkey has been let go.  Starkey was an assistant coach at LSU for 22 seasons and 13 with the women’s basketball team.

Washington: Kevin McGuff is the new head coach.  McGuff comes from Xavier, where he was the head coach the last nine years.

Fordham: Stephanie Gaitley has been hired as the new head coach.  Gaitley comes from Monmouth, where she was the head coach the last three seasons.

NC State: Our sources are telling us that Mark Gottfried will be the next head coach.  Gottfried recently was the head coach at Alabama from 1998 to 2009.

Lamar University: Pat Knight will be the new head coach.  Knight was fired from Texas Tech after three and a half seasons as the head coach.

Virginia State: Darryl Jacobs has been hired as the new head coach.  Jacobs comes from Clark Atlanta University, where he was the head coach.

Midwestern State: Nelson Haggerty will be named the next head coach.  Haggerty has been the assistant coach at Midwestern State the past two seasons under Grant McCasland, who accepted the head coaching position at Abilene Christian University last week.

Oklahoma City University: Dionne Phelps has been named the new head coach.  Phelps comes from Oklahoma, where he was an assistant coach last season.

Fairfield: Sydney Johnson has been hired as the new head coach.  Johnson comes from Princeton, where he was the head coach the last four seasons.

Cincinnati: Head coach Mick Cronin has reached an agreement on a 3-year contract extension at $1.25 million a year that takes him through the 2016-17 season.

VCU: Head coach Shaka Smart has agreed to a new eight-year contract.

Kent State: Rob Senderoff will be the next head coach.  Senderoff has been the associate head coach at Kent State since April 2008.

BYU: Head coach Dave Rose has signed a contract extension.

Eastern Michigan: Head coach Charles Ramsey has been fired.  Ramsey was the head coach for the last six seasons.

Wyoming: Scott Duncan has left UCLA to become an assistant coach at Wyoming.  Duncan was at UCLA for the last four seasons.

Northern Illinois: Jon Borovich has been hired as an assistant coach.  Borovich comes from Dayton, where he was an assistant coach the last four seasons.

Missouri State: Head coach Paul Lusk has hired Patrick Baldwin as an assistant coach.  Baldwin comes from Loyola-Chicago, where he was a seven-year assistant and associate head coach last season.  Update: Kyle Smithpeters has also been hired as an assistant coach.  Smithpeters comes from John A. Logan College.  He was an assistant there for the last four seasons.

Tennessee: Tracy Webster has been hired as an assistant coach.  Webster comes from Nebraska, where he was an assistant coach last season.

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi: Willis Wilson has been hired as the new head coach.  Wilson comes from Memphis, where he was an assistant coach the last two seasons.

Midland University: Todd Eisner has been announced as the new head coach.  Eisner comes from Benedictine College, where he was the head coach.

Benedictine College: Ryan Moody has been hired as the new head coach.  Moody comes from North Dakota, where he was the associate head coach, recruiting coordinator and scheduling coordinator for the last five seasons.

Southern Illinois: Anthony Stewart has been hired as an assistant coach.  Stewart comes from Wyoming, where he was an assistant coach the last four seasons.

Eastern New Mexico: The school has announced the five finalists for the head coaching position.  The five qualified candidates are Michael Madrid, Abbie Carlson, Lindsey Wilson, Elena Lovato and Jim Turgeon.

Texas Tech: Head coach Kristy Curry has agreed to a five year extension.

Cal Poly Pomona: Danelle Bishop has been named the new head coach.  Bishop was the interim head coach this past season.

Stony Brook:  Sources tell us that Canisius associate head coach Beth O’Boyle will soon be named the head coach at Stony Brook.

Loyola University (IL): Rodell Davis has been named an assistant coach.  Davis comes from Providence, where he was an assistant coach the last three seasons.

Saint Leo University: Lance Randall has been named the new head coach.  Randall comes from Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where he was the associate head coach for the last two seasons.

Wisconsin: Wisconsin is looking for a director of basketball operations.  Duties include: assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Men’s Basketball office; developing and maintaining the annual budget; coordinating all travel; coordinating practice, game and facility schedules; serving as a liaison with compliance office ensuring adherence to Big Ten and NCAA rules; serving as a liaison with academic services office, sports medicine, business office, video services and equipment room, etc.; and other duties as assigned.

Montana State University Billings: Jamie Stevens has been named the new head coach.  Stevens comes from Central Wyoming College, where he was the head coach the last four seasons.

Florida Gulf Coast University: Kevin Norris will become the associate head coach.  Norris comes from UNC-Wilmington, where he was an assistant coach last season.

NC State: Orlando Early has been hired as an assistant coach.  Early comes from South Carolina, where he was an assistant last season.

Arkansas: Head coach Mike Anderson hired the members of his coaching and support staff when he was at Missouri. They include associate head coach Melvin Watkins, assistant coaches Matt Zimmerman and T.J. Cleveland, director of operations Jeff Daniels and strength and conditioning coach David Deets.

New Mexico State: Mark Trakh will be named the new head coach.  Trakh was a head coach at USC (2005-09) and Pepperdine (1994-2004), compiling a 289-187 record.

Toledo: Head coach Tricia Cullop has signed a contract extension through the 2019-20 season and increase her annual base salary from $180,000 to $193,600.

Emporia State: Shaun Vandiver is the new head coach.  Vandiver comes from Boise State, where he was an assistant last season.

Manhattan College: Steve Masiello has been hired as the new head coach.  Masiello comes from Louisville, where he was an assistant the last six seasons.

Utah: DeMarlo Slocum has been hired as an assistant coach.  Slocum comes from Colorado State, where he was an assistant coach the last three seasons.

Mount Union: Mike Fuline has agreed to become the new head coach.  Fuline comes from Jackson High School, where he was the head coach for six seasons.

Georgia Tech: Chad Dollar has accepted an assistant coaching position.  Dollar was an assistant coach at Wichita State last season

UNLV: Dave Rice has been hired as the new head coach.  Rice comes from BYU, where he was an assistant coach since 2005.  He was promoted to associate head coach in 2008.

Warner Pacific College (OR): Jared Valentine is the new head coach.  He succeeds his father, Bart Valentine, who retired in March after coaching for 12 seasons.

NC State: Bobby Lutz has been named an assistant coach.  Lutz comes from Iowa State, where he was an assistant last season.

Holy Family University: R.C. Kehoe has been named the new head coach.  Kehoe comes from Delaware, where he was an assistant coach the last five seasons.

Utah: Tommy Connor has been named an assistant coach.  Connor was the head coach at Westminster College the last 12 seasons.

Westminster College (UT): Adam Hiatt has been promoted to head coach.  Hiatt has been an assistant coach at Westminster the last three seasons.

Baker University (KS): Head coach Susan Decker announced that she has resigned her post after 11 seasons.

Dixie State: Assistant coach LaNay Larson, who has been with the program for five seasons, has accepted the head coaching position at the Academy of Art.

Missouri: Head coach Robin Pingeton has received a one-year contract extension through 2016.

Colorado: Johnna Pointer has resigned effective immediately to return to a position in Texas.  Pointer was an assistant at Colorado for only one season.

Louisville: We hear that Richard Pitino will be joining the staff.  Pitino was an assistant at Florida.

Texas: Rob Lanier has been hired to join the staff as an assistant coach.  Lanier was at Florida the last four seasons.

West Alabama: Mike Newell has been announced as the new head coach.  Newell comes from Arkansas-Monticello, where he was the head coach the past nine seasons.

SW Assemblies of God University: Oklahoma Wesleyan University head coach Donnie Bostwick has resigned his post and has accepted to be the new head coach at SW Assemblies of God University.

Florida: We are hearing that former Arkansas head coach John Pelphrey will be joining the staff at Florida.  Update: Also, Norm Roberts has been hired as an assistant coach.  Roberts was most recently the head coach at St. John’s from 2004-201o.

UNLV: Justin Hutson has accepted the associate head coach position.  Hutson comes from San Diego St., where he was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator the last five seasons.

Point Loma Nazarene: Bill Carr has accepted the head coaching position.  Carr comes from the University of San Diego, where he was the associate head coach the last five seasons.

Dayton: Head coach Archie Miller has named Kevin Kuwik an assistant coach.  Kuwik comes from Ohio State, where he was the video coordinator the last two seasons.

Winthrop: Marlene Stollings has been hired as the new head coach.  Stollings comes from Ole Miss, where she was an assistant coach the last four seasons and associate head coach last year.

High Point: Jennifer Hoover has been named head coach.  Hoover was most recently the top assistant coach at California for three seasons.

Longwood University: Bill Reinson has been named the new head coach.  Reinson has been the interim head coach since December.

Lawrence University: Tara Carr is the new head coach.  Carr has served as the campus director and adjunct instructor in business management and human resource management at the Beloit campus of Concordia University of Wisconsin since April 2007.

North Texas: Karen Aston has been named the head coach.  Aston was the head coach at Charlotte the last four seasons.

Purdue: Assistant coach Mike Jackson has resigned.

Missouri: We are hearing that Tim Fuller will be hired as an assistant coach.  Fuller was at Louisville last season.

Indiana Univ. Northwest: Jason Hawkins will be named the next head coach.  Hawkins comes from Elmhurst College, where he was an assistant last season.

NW Florida State College: Steve Forbes has been hired as the new head coach.  Forbes comes from Tennessee, where he was an assistant the last six seasons.

Dayton: Bill Comar has been hired as the director of basketball operations.  Comar worked one season in 2008-09 at Loyola before becoming the director of strategic development for Pro Camps Worldwide, which trains athletes.

North Texas: Angela Ortega has been hired as an assistant coach.  Ortega comes from Charlotte, where she was an assistant coach.  Also, head coach Karen Aston has hired former Texas Southern assistant coach Wesley Brooks to serve in the same capacity at UNT. Brooks had been at Texas Southern since 2008.

Louisiana Tech: Head coach Michael White completed his coaching staff which will consist of Dusty May, Derrick Jones, Isaac Brown and Justin Argenal.  May, Jones, and Brown will be assistant coaches.  Argenal will serve as the director of basketball operations.

Houston Rockets: We hear that head coach Rick Adelman will not have his contract renewed.  Adelman was the head coach the last four seasons.

Western Oregon: Brady Bergeson, who has spent the last three seasons as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Sacramento State, has been named head coach.

Utah: Head coach Larry Krystkowiak has hired Andy Hill as an assistant coach.  Hill comes to Utah from Montana, where he spent the last seven years in the same role.

Kentucky State: Head coach Clarence Moore Jr. has announced his resignation from the program.  Moore is leaving Kentucky State to assume a senior executive position at Edison Chouest Offshore in New Orleans, La.

NC State: Rob Moxley has been hired as an assistant coach.  Moxley comes from Middle Tennessee, where he was an assistant coach last season.

Providence: Andre LaFleur is the associate head coach.  LaFleur comes from UConn, where he was an assistant coach the last ten seasons.

Florida Gulf Coast University: Marty Richter and Michael Fly has been hired as assistant coaches.  Richter comes from ESPN, where he worked as a recruiting analyst. Richter was an assistant coach at Bowling Green from 2003-07.  Fly was most recently video coordinator at Florida State.

Nebraska-Omaha: Chance Lindley has been named the new head women’s basketball coach.  Lindley comes from Arizona, where he has been an assistant since 2008.

Western Illinois: JD Gravina has been hired as the new head coach.  Gravina comes from Quincy University, where he was the head coach the last four seasons.

IUPUI: Todd Howard is the new head coach.  Howard has been an IUPUI assistant coach for 16 years and was a key in recruiting.

Iowa State: Cornell Mann will join Fred Hoiberg’s staff as an assistant coach.  Mann comes from Dayton, where he was an assistant the last three seasons.

Princeton: Mitch Henderson has been named the new head coach.  Henderson comes from Northwestern, where he was an assistant the last 11 seasons.

Michigan State: Dane Fife has become an assistant on Tom Izzo’s staff at Michigan State.  Fife comes from Indiana Univ.-Purdue Univ. Fort Wayne (IPFW), where he was the head coach the last six seasons.

Millikin University (IL): Matt Nadelhoffer has been named the new head coach.  Nadelhoffer comes from Eastern University in Pennsylvania, where he was the head coach the last nine seasons.

Florida State: Dennis Gates has been hired as an assistant coach.  Gates comes from Nevada, where he was an assistant coach the last two seasons.

Bethany Lutheran College (MN): Dave Balza has been hired as head coach.  Balza comes from Florida Gulf Coast University, where he was the head coach the last ten seasons.

Eastern Washington: Head coach Jim Hayford announced that Craig Fortier, Craig Ehlo and Shantay Legans have been hired as his assistant coaches.  Fortier spent the past four seasons as Hayford’s lead assistant at Whitworth University.  Ehlo has spent three seasons as a high school basketball head coach and six years working the Nike Skills Academy.  Legans was on the staff at Eastern Washington the last two seasons.

Texas Tech: Head coach Billy Gillispie has hired Villanova assistant coach Chris Walker.  Walker was an assistant the last two seasons.

Stetson: We hear that Casey Alexander will be named the new head coach.  Alexander was an assistant coach at Belmont.

Purdue: Head coach Matt Painter has hired Micah Shrewsberry as an assistant coach.  Shrewsberry comes from Butler, where he was an assistant the last four seasons.

Eastern Michigan: Rob Murphy has been named the new head coach.  Murphy comes from Syracuse, where he has been an assistant since 2004.

UC Davis: We hear that Greg Graham, Jim Les, Jay John, Donny Daniels and Bob Cantu interviewed for the head coaching job.

Wyoming: Assistant coach Kristin Becker is pursuing a non-basketball opportunity in Colorado Springs after coaching as an assistant at Wyoming for five seasons.

Eastern New Mexico: Lindsey Wilson has been named the new head coach.  Wilson comes from UT-Arlington, where she has been an assistant since 2006.

Monmouth: Jennifer Palmateer has been hired as the new head coach.  Palmateer spent 16 years as an assistant basketball coach at Virginia, North Carolina State University and Seton Hall. She served as a recruiting coordinator for Seton Hall last season, where she was responsible for recruiting as well as opponent scouting and game-planning.

Lincoln University: Jessica Kern has been named the new head coach.  Kern comes from Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she was an assistant coach and media specialist.

Xavier: Amy Waugh will be named the new head coach later today.  Strong group of finalists for this one.

Miami (FL): Head coach Katie Meier has received a contract extension.

San Jose State: Tim LaKose has been hired as the new head coach.  LaKose comes from Cal State Bakersfield, where he was the head coach the last ten seasons.

Miami (FL): Sources are saying that George Mason head coach Jim Larranaga and Miami are close to reaching a deal.  We will keep you updated.  Update: Jim Larranaga has been named the new head coach at Miami.

IPFW: Tony Jasick has been named head coach.  Jasick has been on the staff the last six seasons, four as the associate head coach.

Stony Brook: Head coach Steve Pikiell has received a contract extension through the 2015-16 season.

Glenville State College: Head coach Stephen Dye has named Rob Summers as his new assistant coach. Summers has spent much of this past basketball season in Morgantown observing West Virginia practices and learning as much as possible from  head coach Bob Huggins.

Utah: Norm Parrish has been hired as director of basketball operations.  Parrish comes from Salt Lake Community College, where he was the head coach the last 20 seasons.

Iowa Energy (NBDL): Nate Bjorkgren has been promoted to the position of associate head coach.  Bjorkgren joined the Energy’s coaching staff in 2007.

Syracuse: Adrian Autry has been hired as an assistant coach.  Autry comes from Virginia Tech, where he was on the staff the last three seasons.

NC State: Head coach Mark Gottfried’s contract shows that he can earn up to $1 million in bonuses annually.  That includes a maximum of $250,000 in bonuses for “academic team achievement” and up to $750,000 for what’s labeled as “competitive team achievement.”

North Texas: Head coach Johnny Jones will make $472,500 in guaranteed compensation next season under a contract that runs though the 2017-18 season.

Louisiana Tech: Head coach Michael White has completed his staff with the hiring of Issac Brown and Justin Argenal.  Brown will be an assistant coach and Argenal will be director of basketball operations.  Brown comes from Arkansas State, where he was the associate head coach last season.  Argenal comes to Tech as the director of basketball operations after serving in the same capacity last season at The Citadel.

College of Coastal Georgia: Betsy Harris has been named the new head coach.  Harris comes from Meridian Community College, where she was a volunteer assistant last season.

NE Mississippi CC: Brian Alexander has been named the new head coach.  Alexander coached the Tupelo Rock-N-Rollers of the World Basketball Exposure Association, a mens pro league, in 2009.

Florida: Matt McCall has been hired as an assistant coach.  McCall comes from Florida Atlantic, where he was an assistant the last three seasons.  McCall was the director of operations at Florida from 2004-2008.

Frank Phillips College (TX): Chris Hackett has been named the new head coach.  Hackett comes from Florida Tech, where he was the top assistant the last five seasons.

Briar Cliff (IA): Mark Svagera has been hired as an assistant coach.  Svagera comes from Dickinson State, where he was an assistant last season.

Henderson State: Chris Oestreich has been named the interim head coach.  Oestreich served as the top assistant for the past two seasons.

Charlotte: We hear that Marquette assistant Cara Consuegra will be named the next head coach.  Consuegra has been with the Golden Eagles since 2004.

Spring Arbor University: Ryan Frost is the new head coach.  Frost comes from Taylor University, where he was the assistant men’s coach.

Cal: Lindsay Gottlieb has been hired as the new head coach.  Gottlieb comes from UC Santa Barbara, where she was the head coach the last three seasons.

Hawaii: Head coach Dana Takahara-Dias today announced the hire of Gavin Petersen to her coaching staff.  Petersen comes from Idaho, where he was associate head coach the last three seasons.

Virginia Tech: Billi Godsey and Chantelle Anderson has been named to the staff.  Godsey has been assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Maryland-Baltimore County for two years. Anderson has one year of coaching experience, but was Vanderbilt’s all-time leading scorer and played six years professionally in the WNBA and Europe.

Lincoln Memorial University (TN): Roger Hodge has been hired as the new head coach.  Hodge comes from East Carolina, where he was an assistant coach since 2008.

University of New Orleans: Amy Champion is stepping down as head coach to focus on her duties as Director of Intercollegiate Athletics.  Assistant Keeshawn Carter will serve as interim head coach for the 2011-2012 season.  Champion had been head basketball coach since April 2004.

Colgate: Matt Langel has been hired as the new head coach.  Langel comes from Temple, where he was an assistant the last five seasons.

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi: Marty Gross has been named the Associate Head Coach.  Gross spent the last four seasons as an assistant coach at Wichita State.

George Washington: Head coach Karl Hobbs has been let go.  Hobbs coached ten seasons, compiling a 166-129 record.

North Park University (IL): Dylan Howard has been named the new head coach.  Howard comes from Mississippi Valley State, where he was an assistant the last three seasons.

Golden State Warriors: Head coach Keith Smart has been fired.  Smart was the head coach this past season.

Louisville: Wyking Jones has been hired as an assistant coach.  Jones comes from New Mexico, where he was an assistant coach the last two seasons.  Also, director of operations Ralph Willard is stepping down.  Willard has been at Louisville since 2009.

UNLV: Former Wyoming head coach Heath Schroyer will be named an assistant coach.

North Texas: Jalie Mitchell has accepted a job as assistant coach.  Mitchell comes from UNC-Wilmington, where she was an assistant coach last season.

St. Vincent (PA): Jimmy Petruska has been hired as the new head coach.  Petruska was the interim coach since December.

Air Force: Assistant coach Rob Pryor was introduced as the head coach at Shenendoah University.  Pryor has been an assistant at Air Force the past four seasons.

Louisville: Kevin Keatts has been hired as an assistant coach.  Keatts comes from Hargrave Military Academy, where he was the head coach the last eight seasons.

Dayton: Tom Ostrom and Allen Griffin have agreed to join the staff.  Ostrom comes from Arkansas, where he was on staff the last four seasons.  Griffin comes from Hofstra, where he was an assistant last season.

Georgia: We are hearing that head coach Mark Fox will receive a contract extension.

San Jacinto College (JC): Scott Gernander has retired after 24 years at the helm of the men’s program.

Carson-Newman: Dean Walsh resigned as women’s head coach.  Walsh leaves as the fourth winningest coach in South Atlantic Conference history with 172 wins in his 10 seasons as head coach.

Missouri State: Assistant coach Camryn Whitaker has resigned.  Whitaker was an assistant the last three seasons.

Colby College: Julie Veilleux will become the new head coach.  Veilleux comes from Navy, where she was an assistant the last three seasons.

Tulsa: Fred Castro has been named an assistant coach.  Castro spent last season as an assistant at Albany and the season before that, he was an advance scout for the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx.

Miami (FL): Head coach Jim Larranaga hired three of his assistant coaches from George Mason for his new staff.  Eric Konkol, Michael Huger, and Chris Caputo have joined as assistant coaches.  Konkol enters his eighth season as a member of Larranaga’s staff, Huger enters his fifth season, and Caputo enters his tenth season on Larranaga’s staff.

Wichita State: Dana Ford has been hired as an assistant coach.  Ford comes from Tennessee State, where he was an assistant coach the last two seasons.

Assumption College (MA): Matt Mahar has been named the new head coach.  Mahar comes from Chaminade, where he was the head coach and assistant athletic director since 2005.
