George Mason: Paul Hewitt has been hired as the new head coach.  Hewitt was the head coach at Georgia Tech the last 11 seasons.

Wisconsin: Head coach Bo Ryan had his five-year contract extended through the 2015-16 season.

Clemson: Head coach Brad Brownell has received a contract extension.  His contract is extended through the 2016-17 season and his pay raised to $1.2 million.

Oklahoma Wesleyan: Jason Beschta has been named the new head coach.

Carson-Newman: Mike Mincey has been named the new head coach.  Mincey was an assistant on the staff the last three seasons.

Whitworth University: Matt Logie will be named the new head coach.  Logie comes from Lehigh, where he was the associate head coach the last two seasons.

UNLV: Stacey Augmon has accepted an offer to become an assistant coach.  Augmon comes from the Denver Nuggets, where he was an assistant for player development the last four years.

Wichita State: Greg Heiar has been named an assistant coach.  Heiar comes from Southern Miss, where he was an assistant the last two seasons.

Central Washington: Shawn Nelson has been hired as the new head coach.  Nelson comes from Carroll College, where he was the head coach the last eight seasons.

Arizona State: Head coach Charli Turner Thorne is taking a leaving of absence.  The university announced on Monday that Thorne will be out for the 2011-12 season and plans to return in Spring 2012. The leave is unpaid.  Joseph Anders will take over as interim head coach for the season.

Utah: Willette White has been hired as an assistant coach.  White has spent the last two years working in the private sector, and most recently spent three seasons at Oregon from 2006-09.

UConn: Glen Miller has been promoted from director of basketball administration to assistant coach.

Utah: Randy Baruth has been hired to the staff.  Baruth comes from Colorado State, where he was director of basketball operations the last two seasons.

Siena: Tobin Anderson will be an assistant coach.  Anderson comes from Hamilton College, where he was the head coach the last seven seasons.

Purdue: Greg Gary will join Matt Painter at Purdue as the newest assistant coach.  Gary was the head coach of Centenary for two years, and left after the 2009-10 season when the school announced it was changing to NCAA Division III.

Fort Valley State: Sammy Jackson has been named the new head coach.  Jackson comes from Alabama A&M, where he was an assistant the last eight seasons.

Tulsa: Emmett Davis has been hired as an assistant coach.  Davis was the head coach at Colgate the last 13 seasons.

UT-Arlington: Blinn College assistant Kris Wood has been hired as an assistant coach.  Wood was at Blinn College for two seasons.

LSU: Head coach Nikki Caldwell has finalized her staff.  Former UCLA assistants Tasha Butts, Tony Perotti and Stacie Terry will serve as assistant coaches at LSU.  Jon Silver will serve as director of basketball operations after serving as film coordinator and staff associate at UCLA.   Angel Elderkin, former assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at the University of Virginia, will handle duties as director of video operations.

Colgate: Nicci Hays-Fort is the new head coach.  Hays-Fort spent the past five seasons at DePaul.  She was the associate head coach this past season.

Oglethorpe University: Aaron Nester has been named the new head coach.  Nester has spent the last five seasons as the assistant coach at Wartburg College (IA).

Maryland: Head coach Gary Williams is retiring.  Williams was the head coach at Maryland the last 22 seasons, and won a national championship in 2oo2.

Butler: Michael Lewis has been named an assistant coach.  Lewis was with the Loyola staff in April.

High Point: Ahmad Dorsett has been added to the staff as an assistant coach.  Dorsett  most recently was assistant coach at Mount St. Mary’s University.

UC Davis: Jim Les will be named the new head coach.  Les was the head coach at Bradley the last nine seasons.

Alma College: Sam Hargraves has been named the new head coach.  Hargraves comes from Dominican University, where he was an assistant the last two seasons.

New Mexico State: Santa Clara assistant coach Tamara Inoue is leaving to become associate head coach at New Mexico State.  Inoue was an assistant at Santa Clara the last three seasons.

Eastern Michigan: Mike Brown has been hired as an assistant coach.  Brown comes from South Alabama, where he was an assistant the last two seasons.

Florida A&M: Clemon Johnson has been named the new head coach.  Johnson was the head coach at Alaska-Fairbanks the last four seasons.

George Washington: Mike Lonergan has been hired as the new head coach.  Lonergan comes from Vermont, where he has been the head coach the last six seasons.

St. Joseph’s College (NY): Mike Petre has been named the new head coach.  Petre was a head coach at North Babylon and East Islip High School.

Navy: Head coach Billy Lange has resigned.  Lange was the head coach at Navy the last seven seasons.  Update: Billy Lange has been named the associate head coach at Villanova.

Pratt CC: Jesse Shaw has been hired as the new head coach.  Shaw was an assistant the last three seasons.

Duke: Jeff Capel has been named an assistant coach.  Capel was the head coach at Oklahoma for the last five seasons.

Arizona: Head coach Sean Miller has agreed to a contract extension.  It is reported that Miller earned $1.6 million last year from Arizona, $400,000 from Nike and IMG and another $235,000 in performance bonuses.  Miller led the Wildcats to the Elite 8 last season.

Missouri: Toby Lane has been hired as basketball operations director.  Lane was the associate director of basketball operations for the last four seasons at Miami (FL).

Lamar: Head coach Pat Knight will make $150,000 with a chance to earn as much as $50,000 in incentives by the end of his third season.

Maine: Richard Barron has been hired as the new head coach.  Barron comes from NC State, where he was an assistant coach the last two seasons.

MidAmerica Nazarene: Jon Lewis has been named the new head coach.  Lewis was an assistant for the last five seasons.

Xavier: Head coach Chris Mack has agreed on a contract extension through the 2017-18 season.

Salisbury University (MD): Josh Merkel has been hired as the new head coach.  Merkel spent last season as an assistant coach at Randolph-Macon College.

Tulsa: Terrence Rencher has been hired as an assistant coach.  Rencher has been an assistant coach at Texas State the last two seasons.

Arkansas State: Head coach John Brady has announced the hiring of Melvin Haralson as associate head coach.  Haralson was an assistant coach at Texas Southern last season.

Maryland: Mark Turgeon has been named the new head coach.  Turgeon comes from Texas A&M, where he was the head coach the last four sesaons.

Washington: Head coach Kevin McGuff has announced the additions of Mike Neighbors, Kevin Morrison and Adia Barnes to the staff.  Neighbors comes to Seattle from Xavier, where he worked with McGuff for four seasons.  Morrison comes from Cal, where she was an assistant the last four seasons.

Louisville: Samantha Williams has been hired as an assistant coach.  Williams was a recruiting coordinator at Duke the last four seasons.

Wisconsin: Jill Jameson has been named the new director of operations.  Jameson comes from Virginia Tech, where she was the director of operations the last seven seasons.

Murray State: Head coach Billy Kennedy has agreed on a one-year contract extension that takes his contract through the 2014-15 season.

Kennesaw State: Jimmy Lallathin has been hired as an assistant coach.  Lallathin comes from Miami (OH), where he was on the staff the last four seasons.

Montana: Jonathan Metzger-Jones has joined the staff.  Metzger-Jones comes from UC Santa Barbara, where he worked the past four seasons. He was an assistant for three of those and served as the program’s director of operations in 2007-08.

Fresno State: Jerry Wainwright has been hired as an assistant coach.  Wainwright was the head coach at DePaul from 2005-2010.

Murray State: Head coach Rob Cross has agreed to a three-year extension through the 2014-15 season.

Iowa: Head coach Lisa Bluder has signed a seven-year contract extension through the year 2018.  Bluder has been the head coach at Iowa the last 11 seasons.

Nebraska: Jeremy Cox has been named an assistant coach.  Cox comes from South Florida, where he was an assistant coach the last two seasons.

Belmont: James Strong has been hired as an assistant coach.  Strong comes from Furman, where he was the associate coach the last five seasons.

Kansas: A’Quonesia Franklin has been named an assistant coach.  Franklin comes from Stephen F. Austin, where she was an assistant last season.

Wayne State: Carrie Lohr has been named the new head coach.  Lohr has been the head coach at St. Clair Community College the last nine seasons.

Virginia: Head coach Joanne Boyle has hired her coaching staff.   Kim Hairston, Cory McNeill and Katie O’Connor are assistant coaches.  Sarah Holsinger will be the director of operations.  Hairston has been a member of Boyle’s staff at both Cal and Richmond.   McNeill has spent the last four seasons as an assistant coach at Georgetown.  O’Connor has spent the last seven seasons as an assistant coach at Kansas.  Holsinger spent six seasons as the director of operations at Cal under Boyle.

Monmouth: Brian Reese and Derrick Phelps will serve as assistant coaches.  Reese was an assistant at High Point University last season, while Phelps served as video coordinator at Fordham.

Boston Celtics: Head coach Doc Rivers has agreed to a five-year contract extension.

Ole Miss: Head coach Andy Kennedy has hired Sergio Rouco as an assistant coach.  Rouco was the head coach at FIU from 2004-09.

Sacramento State: Brandon Laird has been named an assistant coach.  Laird comes from UC Davis, where he was an assistant coach the last two seasons.

Oklahoma: Head coach Lon Kruger’s contract will be seven years and be worth $16.6 million.

St. Thomas University: Head coach Steve Fritz is retiring as head coach.  Assistant coach Johnny Tauer was named interim coach of the defending NCAA Division III champions.

Idaho State: Head coach Seton Sobolewski announced the hiring of assistant coach Tony Giannotti.  Giannotti comes from New Mexico State.

Valparaiso: Bryce Drew will be the new head coach.  Bryce was an assistant at Valpo the last six seasons.  Drew is best remembered for hitting one of the most iconic shots in NCAA tournament history in the first round of the 1998 Big Dance and leading the Crusaders all the way to the Sweet Sixteen under his father, Homer.

Xavier: Associate head coach Pat Kelsey is resigning for personal reasons.  Kelsey has been on the staff since 2009.

Radford: Head coach Brad Greenberg will not return next season.

Texas A&M: Billy Kennedy has been hired as the new head coach.  Kennedy comes from Murray State, where he was the head coach the last five seasons.

SE Missouri State: Head coach Dickey Nutt has signed a one-year contract extension.  Nutt is now signed through the 2013-14 season.

Arizona State: Amy Wright has been named an assistant coach.  Wright comes from Cleveland State, where she was an assistant the last three seasons.

New Jersey City University: Amy Mulligan has been named the new head coach.  Mulligan comes from Vaughn College, where she was the head men’s basketball coach the last three seasons.

Georgia: Travis Mays has joined the staff as an assistant coach.  Mays comes from LSU, where he was an assistant the last four seasons.

Hannibal-LaGrange University: Caleb Harrison has been hired as the new head coach.  Harrison comes from Southwest Baptist, where he was an assistant coach the last two seasons.

Snow College: Natalie Visger will become the new head coach.  Visger comes from Montana State Billings, where she was an assistant coach the last five seasons.

UNLV: Kreigh Warkentien has been hired as director of basketball operations.  Warkentien previously worked in Arizona State’s program, where her duties included academic support, overseeing travel, equipment, recruiting and training table budgets.

Ouachita Baptist: Dennis Nutt has been hired as the head coach.  Nutt was serving as a scout for the NBAs Charlotte Bobcats.

Belmont: Mark Price has been hired as an assistant coach.  Price was the head coach at Ouachita Baptist the last two seasons.

Maryland: Dalonte Hill will be joining the staff.  Hill comes from Kansas State, where he was on the staff since 2006.

Georgetown: Othella Harrington has been hired as an assistant coach.  Harrington played 12 seasons in the NBA with the Houston Rockets, Vancouver Grizzlies, New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls and Charlotte Bobcats.

Dominican: Booker T. Harris has been hired as the new head coach.  Harris comes from Metro State, where he was an assistant the last two seasons.

University of Mary: Jevin Budde has been promoted to head coach.  Budde was an assistant at the University of Mary the last two seasons.

Old Dominion: Head coach Wendy Larry has resigned.  Larry has coached for 27 years, the past 24 at Old Dominion, and won 17 straight CAA championships before failing to win conference titles the past three seasons.

Utah: JD Gustin has been hired as director of basketball operations.  Gustin comes from Westminster College, where he was the head coach the last seven seasons.

University of Virginia-Wise: Abby Hearn has been named the new head coach.  Hearn comes from Eureka College, where she was the head coach the last four seasons.

Wisconsin-Eau Claire: Kyle Green has been hired as the new head coach.  Green has been an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Northern Iowa since 2006.

BYU: Mark Pope has been hired as an assistant coach.  Pope comes from Wake Forest, where he was an assistant coach last season.

Virginia Tech: We are hearing that Rob Ehsan will be joining the staff.

Delaware: Phil Martelli, Jr. has been hired as an assistant coach.  Martelli, Jr. comes from Niagara, where he was an assistant the last five seasons.

Emerson: Jim O’Brien has been hired as the new head coach.  O’Brien has been out of coaching since being fired by Ohio State in 2004 for NCAA violations.

UC Santa Barbara: Carlene Mitchell has been named the new head coach.  Mitchell comes from Rutgers, where she has been on staff the last ten seasons.

Arizona: E.C. Hill has joined the staff as an assistant coach.  Hill comes from Northern Illinois, where she was an assistant the last six seasons.

Colorado State: Head coach Tim Miles has received a three-year contract extension.

Winthrop: Christena Hamilton has been hired as an assistant coach.  Hamilton comes from Daytona State College, where she was an assistant last season.

Wiley College: Courtney Garrett-Pruitt has been named head coach.  Garrett-Pruitt served as an assistant coach at Tyler Junior College last season.

Eastern Oklahoma State College: Amber Taylor has been named head coach.  Taylor has been the assistant coach at Jacksonville College for the past two seasons.

Vermont: John Becker will be named the new head coach.  Becker has been the interim head coach since May 10.

Marquette: Tony Benford has been promoted to associate head coach.

Wichita State: Head coach Gregg Marshall to a contract extension through the year 2018.

Arizona: Joe Pasternack has been named an assistant coach.  Pasternack comes from the University of New Orleans, where he was the head coach the last four seasons.

UCLA: Head coach Cori Close has announced her new staff.  Shannon Perry, Tony Newnan, and Jenny Roulier-Huth have been named assistant coaches.  Perry returns to Los Angeles after coaching at Duke for five seasons (2004-09).  Newnan has been an assistant coach for the past eight seasons at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA.  Roulier-Huth comes to UCLA after working in private business and as a high school coach the past two seasons.

Navy: Ed DeChellis has been named the new head coach.  DeChellis comes from Penn State, where he was the head coach the last eight seasons.

Wayland Baptist (TX): Matt Garnett is the new head coach.  Garnett comes from McMurry University, where he was the head coach last season.

Murray State: Steve Prohm has been promoted to head coach.  Prohm has been an assistant at Murray State the last five seasons.

Montana State: George Pfeifer has been hired as an assistant coach.  Pfeifer comes from Montana State Billings, where he was the head coach the last three seasons.

IPFW: Jon Coffman has been added to the staff.  Coffman comes from Colgate, where he was the top assistant the last two seasons.

Central Baptist College: Tony Price has been hired as the new head coach.  This is Price’s first collegiate head coaching job, after serving the last two years as an independent state scout for several junior colleges.

Oregon: Assistant coach Kai Felton is leaving the program to pursue other professional opportunities.  Felton has been an assistant the last two seasons.

Baker University: Ben Lister has been named the new head coach.  Lister comes from Barton County Community College, where he was an assistant the last four seasons.

Biola University: Bethany Miller is the new head coach.  Miller has been an assistant at Biola the last six seasons.

Murray State: Chris Shumate has been named an assistant coach.  Shumate was serving as Director of Student-Athlete Development at Cincinnati.

High Point: Trey Brown has been named an assistant coach.  Brown has been at South Carolina the last five seasons.

Brown: Kyle Cieplicki has been hired as an assistant coach.  Cieplicki comes from Vermont, where he was the director of operations last season.

Los Angeles Lakers: We are hearing that former Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Mike Brown is close to being hired.  Brown coached the Cavs for five seasons, and led them to the NBA Finals in 2007.

Goshen College: Head coach Steve Wiktorowski announced his resignationon. Wiktorowski was the head coach for the last nine seasons.

Georgia Tech: Janie Mitchell has been named an assistant coach.  Mitchell was the coordinator of recruiting operations last season.

Stanford: Trina Patterson has been named an assistant coach.  Patterson most recently served as head coach at University at Albany, SUNY from 2002-10.

Cal: Kai Felton has been hired as an assistant coach.  Felton has been at Oregon the last two seasons.

Weber State: Devan Newman has been named an assistant coach.  Newman was on the staff at Louisville the last three seasons.

Maine-Presque Isle: Head coach Tracy Guerrette has resigned.  Guerrette was the head coach for four seasons.

Lake Superior State: Justin Rees has been named the new head coach.  Rees comes from Maine, where he was an assistant coach the last four seasons.

UNC-Greensboro: Jamey Givens has been hired as director of operations.  Givens comes from Florida State, where he was a graduate assistant the last two seasons.

George Washington: Kevin Sutton has been named an assistant coach.  Sutton was the head coach at Montverde Academy (FL).

Western Michigan: David Kool has been named an assistant coach.  Kool is a former Western Michigan player and graduate assistant last season.

Alabama A&M: Wille Hayes has been hired as the new head coach.  Hayes has been an assistant the last 16 seasons at Alabama A&M.

High Point: Clint Walker has been added as director of operations.  Walker spent the last three seasons as a student manager with expanded duties in 2010-11.

Earlham College (IN): Marcus Gill has been hired as the new head coach.  Gill was an assistant at Ohio Wesleyan the last two seasons.

Eastern Kentucky: Richie Riley has accepted to become an assistant coach.  Riley comes from Coastal Carolina, where he was an assistant the last two seasons.

Ohio State: We are hearing that Patrick Klein will be named an assistant coach.  Klein was an assistant coach at Illinois from 2007-10 and a graduate assistant at Ohio State from 2005-07.

SE Missouri State: Head coach Ty Margenthaler has hired Ben Coomes and Heather Ezell as assistant coaches.  Coomes comes from Purdue, where he was the video coordinator the last two years.  Ezell comes from Fairfield, where she was an assistant coach last season.

Saginaw Valley State: Darin Thrun has been hired as an assistant coach.  Thrun comes from Eastern Michigan, where he was an assistant coach the last four seasons.

Houston Rockets: Kevin McHale has reached an agreement to become the new head coach.  McHale was formerly the Minnesota Timberwolves’ general manager and had two stints as the interim head coach.

South Carolina: Cypheus Bunton has been named an assistant coach.  Bunton was the director of player development last season at South Carolina.

Ball State: Mickey Hosier will be named the director of basketball operations.  Hosier was the video coordinator last season.

Drake: Head coach Mark Phelps has announced Brett Nelson will join the staff as an assistant coach, Jamelle McMillan will become coordinator of basketball operations and Ryan Wedel will be graduate manager.  Nelson was an assistant coach at Arkansas last season.  McMillan is in his first year of coaching after a collegiate playing career at Arizona State.  Wedel played for Drake the past three seasons and was captain last season.

Ohio State: Greg Paulus has been hired as the new video coordinator.  The former Duke point guard and Syracuse quarterback comes from Navy, where he was an assistant last season.

Murray State: Head coach Steve Prohm has announced the hiring of William Small to the staff.  Small comes from UTEP, where he was an assistant coach last season.

Memphis: Damon Stoudamire has accepted the job of head assistant coach.  Stoudamire was on the staff of the Memphis Grizzlies since 2009.

Detroit Pistons: Head coach John Kuester will not be returning for the 2011-12 season.  Kuester was the head coach the last two seasons.

Virginia State: Darryl Butler has been hired as an assistant coach.  Butler comes from Frederick Community College (MD), where he was the associate head coach the last three seasons.

Texas A&M: The Texas A&M System Board of Regents has approved a five-year, $5 million contract for new basketball coach Billy Kennedy.  Kennedy will earn $500,000 a year in salary and another $500,000 in a media supplement.

Wheaton College: Kent Madsen has been hired as the new head coach.  Madsen was the acting head coach last season while former head coach Beth Baker was on medical leave.

Western Kentucky: Camryn Whitaker and Tim Riley have been hired as assistant coaches.  Whitaker comes from Missouri State, where she was an assistant the last three seasons.  Riley was the head coach at Warren Central High School the last 14 seasons.

Virginia Tech: Bill Old has been named the director of basketball operations.  Old was the Finanacial Projects Manager/Assistant Business Manager in the Virginia Tech Athletics Department Business Office for the last three years.

Washington Mystics: David Emery is the new head strength and conditioning coach.

Texas A&M: Glynn Cyprien has been named associate head coach.  Cyprien comes from Memphis, where he was an assistant the last two seasons.
