USC:  Sources tell BasketballScoop that assistants Gib Arnold and Phil Johnson (both holdovers from Tim Floyd’s staff) have been told that they will not be retained.

Gardner Webb:  Head coach Rick Scruggs will not return.

Louisiana Lafayette:  Multiple sources tell us that head coach Robert Lee will not be retained.    The university has scheduled an announcement for 10AM tomorrow.

Indiana:  Tom Crean has let one of his assistants go.  Roshown McLeod is no longer part of the staff.  Strange timing.

Hawaii:  Head coach Bob Nash was notified today that he will not be retained.  In three years at the helm, Nash never had a winning season.

Oregon:  A lot of rumors out there (including an article by USA Today) that head coach Ernie Kent has been told he’s done at the end of the season.

Central Arkansas:  Head coach Rand Chappell and his staff have been “relieved of their duties” according to the AD.  Over seven seasons, Chappell’s teams were 104-104.  UCA plans to complete it’s transition to Division 1 this year and is slated to be eligible for post season tournament play next season.

East Carolina:  Head coach Mack McCarthy announced his intent to move into a fundraising role within the athletics department upon the conclusion of the C-USA tournament.

Holy Family University:  After seven seasons at the helm of Holy Family in Philadelphia, Alfred Johnson has announced his resignation and the school has begun a search for his successor.

Univ. of Missouri - St. Louis:  UMSL head coach Chris Pilz will not return.  This was Pilz’s seventh season as head coach and the Tritons went 12-16 this year.

University of New Haven:  Head coach Al Seibert and assistant Chuck Bridge have both stepped down following this year’s 5-22 campaign.  In five years at the helm, Seibert’s overall record was 43-94.

Rhodes College:  Herb Hilgeman has announced his retirement.  After 34 seasons and 473 wins, he deserves it.  The AD said a national search will be conducted.

Oregon State:  Craig Robinson’s contract has been extended through the 2015-2016 season.

Columbus State:  Head coach Doug Branson has resigned.

Eastern Washington:  Head coach Kirk Earlywine’s contract has been extended through next season the school announced today.

Wagner College:  Head coach Mike Deane has been “relieved of his duties.”  The AD said a national search would begin immediately.

Indiana Tech:  We hear that head coach Brad Winton (who was just hired in August) is no longer with the program.
