Jennifer Roos - Associate Head Coach - Bowling Green

Finalist - 2009 Coaches of the Year powered by Critical Reload

Jennifer Roos has held the title of Associate head coach for five seasons.  Bowling Green has won 5 straight Mid-American Conference regular season titles!  Head coach Curt Miller sees the connection.

“Jennifer is an outstanding coach,” said Miller. “She has coordinated our recruiting efforts, and has opened doors in the recruiting wars that haven’t been open for years for potential Bowling Green players.” Roos serves as the team’s recruiting coordinator and also is in charge of the Falcon defense.

Proving her worth not only in the recruiting arena but also on paper, the Falcon defense has ranked first in the MAC in overall scoring defense for the past four seasons.

Roos came to the Falcon program after spending eight years at Davidson College. She became a coach with the Wildcats upon her graduation from the school.

Roos served as the recruiting coordinator for her final two seasons, the scheduling coordinator for the last five years and the scouting coordinator during all eight years at Davidson.

Roos was a standout in field hockey during her undergraduate years. She was a four-year letterwinner and a three-time MVP for Davidson. Roos led the ‘Cats to a 50-15-6 record in her four seasons, and helped the squad to three consecutive Deep South Association championships.

Roos served as a captain for both the field hockey and basketball teams as a senior. She also lettered in lacrosse at Davidson.

“Jennifer has helped a young program blossom into a solid defensive team,” said Miller. “Overall, she is considered one of the best assistant coaches in the profession.”

In January of 2006, Roos was inducted into the Davidson Athletics Hall of Fame.
